My husband and I enjoyed the Le Bordeaux Cocktail and peppered popcorn as we were introduced to the lovely menu by our waiter. We chose the luncheon entree and plat courses paired with Bordeaux wines of course! The ambiance, the decor, the menu choices, the wine, the food presentation and waitstaff were wonderful.

I'd read about Gordon Ramsay's arrival in Bordeaux so having stumbled across the restaurant was keen to have dinner. It got off to an excellent start when staff found a chair more suitable to supporting my back than the low ones they routinely use. Sadly, from there it all went downhill faster than Franz Klammer. The starter was probably the... More

Firstly, excellent wines by the glass, menu and location. However, cooking is poor. Dishes are overcooked, badly cooked, under or over seasoned and service is 'degage'. Prices are stratospheric for the quality.

Well-situated hotel restaurant with nice comfortable interior and service. Food prices are fair, but honestly for the same price there are better alternatives in Bordeaux. Drink prices are not only disproportionate to the food prices but are just to high by any standard for a Bistro: 9 € for 1l water, 7 € for a coke (33cl) and 7 €... More

I am a little surprised to see the bad reviews here on TA. We were in Bordeaux for the weekend and ate here twice as the sun was shining and it has the best location in town to sit outside and enjoy the wonders of the Theatre opposite. The staff on both occasions were very good (only one seemed a... More

Ate at the Grand Hotel brasserie. Good Foie Gras, good wine. But the "Fillet" steak was sirloin. Fillet steak just doesn't have gristle on it. This one did. And it was served in slices which were cold. With a reheated baked potato. Absolutely no joy in eating it. Lighting in the brasserie (like the hotel) is dark & gloomy. No... More

please read carefully. I am a restaurant owner in Italy and Gordon Ramsey has a lot to learn in managing a restaurant. The food is ok, NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL..... The sous chef, had his head in his hair and then served a plate, I saw him through the Hublot behind the bar, and I made the observation to the girl on... More

Let me start by saying I have had INCREDIBLE meals at GR's other restraunts (ok, not Maze at The London NY - it SUCKS - but he licenses his name to them - why???) but the Real GR Restraunts have been fantastic. B U T .... Le Bordeaux GR is a disaster. Bad service, poorly prepared food, a boring menu.... More

We were in France for 2 weeks and this restaurant was one of our best. We sat in the lower level which was still nice but not their fancy restaurant. The food was good but maybe we had high expectations for Ramsey. Nothing wowed us and nothing was bad. Maybe just that they seated us close to 2 other couples... More

We had dinner here last friday with 8 people, very nice place to be ! The menu is well established, not too large and something for everybodies taste. The quality of the food was good and the service very attentive. They have a very nice winelist, but as everybody knows a good winebottle has its price and this is absolutely... More

Description
Respectful of the quality and freshness of local and regional products, the new menu of Le Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay proposes specialties of the South West of France with a British touch. Among the favorites on the Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay's menu: the Beef Wellington serving two, three or four people and the famous Fish & Chips will be on offer. As for the desserts list, Arthur Fèvre revamped some traditional recipes: Spring "Gariguettes" (a flavorsome type of strawberry), lemon tart, chocolate Fondant... The wine menu offers a large range including a fine selection of Bordeaux wines. The restaurant interior design, supervised by Jacques Garcia recalls the splendid Belle - Epoque style. He worked with a palette of colors inspired by the deep green glass of wine bottles, the golden hue of sweet white wines and the velvety color of Bordeaux red wines. Such a harmonious design acts as a tribute to Bordeaux wines and the symbolic hotel venue. The marriage between the elegant style of the design and Gordon Ramsay's passion for South West French produce gives a new breath to the brasserie Le Bordeaux Gordon Ramsay which has become the perfect Bordeaux's spot for French and British specialties. In summer, the terrace on the Place de la Comédie is an ideal meeting place to enjoy the warm sunny days in the heart of the city. Take the opportunity to have a cocktail, tea or coffee, or to have lunch on the terrace in this pleasant setting.
