Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for breakfast around 9:30/10:00. It was pretty full and we were lucky to get a table. The ambiance is charming. We wanted a croissant and pain au chocolat and coffee. They were already out of pain au chocolat. The croissants were average (pretty...good but in France unremarkable). The coffee was good. The waiter was a charming older gentleman who writes orders on a sticky pad, which ends up being your bill and receipt. I wouldn’t go back because it wasn’t super great and there are a lot of other places, but it wasn’t bad.More

Really nice ambience, friendly staff. However, I am afraid I can’t recommend it: really mediocre coffee.

Traditionally run by a couple who were seemingly part of the building, and completely delightful. Coffee weren’t the greatest, Quiche wasn’t the best, but the macarons were first-class. Also I must add that even though this establishment is a little dated, service a bit slow...and everything seems a bit 6/10 you leave feeling good about life…. It’s the anti-Starbucks of this world that keeps us hopeful that people are what matters most. We left feeling like we’d made an effort as guests to accommodate the establishments way of service, and what we were rewarded with was priceless…. Lovely, kind, generous service from real people who are working really hard to sustain a fair business. I give double thumbs-up and highly recommend you stop-by early morning for a croissant, coffee and a huge smile from owners!More

We stumbled upon this café while we were wondering the streets of Colmar. The Café has a facade typical of the early 1900s with vintage french furniture. The coffee was good, the croissants too. But what stuck me the most was Claudine, a lovely elderly...woman hustling and bustling around the place. She asked us whether we were on holiday because the place was flooding with tourists. I’m not sure she knows that she has become a social media sensation (I didn’t figure it out at that time, only later I’ve googled and seen the reels/tik-toks.) Should we visit Colmar again, we’d go for the heartwarming feeling of home - having breakfast at my nanna.More

This cafe is in a quiet lane in Colmar .As soon as you enter the cafe you will be delighted with the old world charm of the decor. The owners look like your grand parents very sweet and helpful. We had an americano and cappuccino...and both the coffees were good. We ordered some pastries from the counter and they were also delicious. Even though they do not understand English properly you can communicate through gestures and your order is served. In today's world of commercialized coffee shops this was a delight.More

Traditional cafe, in the town centre, but sheltered from the tourist crowds. Delicious cakes, very pleasant service. Such a relief from other places which seem to treat tourists as herd animals.

Lovely little cafe. The staff were friendly, even to two Americans who do not speak French. Perfect place for a coffee and pastry.

This bar is perfect for a relaxed breakast. Cappuccino and croissants while reading the newspaper or chatting while seated outside. The retro style is very nice and the service as well.

It’s the best cappuccino we’ve had in Colmar. Mild and delicious, not burnt tasting like most around here. The lemon tart was perfect. We will be back!

This place is very typical. You can eat a very nice tarte flambée for 9€. It was the owner of the place, a very nice woman who has brought the distes for us. We have eaten outside, with a very nice atmosphere.

Super cute grandma manning the café and serving everyone. The café’s mostly manned by her so getting a menu is a little slow, but once your ordered, you will receive your food in just a short moment. Plus it’s difficult to get impatient when such...a friendly and cute grandma is the one serving you. That aside, the atmosphere was excellent. We came for tea and got seated comfortably at a table. The ambiance was cozy and warm, and the café was decorated in a very homely and French manner. We came around 3pm in the afternoon, so some of the desserts were sold out. We ordered a lemon tart, a hazelnut tart, a large vanilla macaron, a latte macchiato and a jasmine tea. Everything tasted great, and we especially enjoyed how fragrant the tea was. The food was affordable and at great value. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Colmar to stop by this place, and give the lovely grandma a visit.More

We ate here for breakfast two times during our stay in Colmar. Quaint little cafe with the best croissants, especially right out of the oven! Attentive and delicious! You will not be disappointed if you stop here!
