Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Super cute grandma manning the café and serving everyone. The café’s mostly manned by her so getting a menu is a little slow, but once your ordered, you will receive your food in just a short moment. Plus it’s difficult to get impatient when such a friendly and cute grandma is the one serving you.
That aside, the atmosphere was excellent. We came for tea and got seated comfortably at a table. The ambiance was cozy and warm, and the café was decorated in a very homely and French manner.
We came around 3pm in the afternoon, so some of the desserts were sold out. We ordered a lemon tart, a hazelnut tart, a large vanilla macaron, a latte macchiato and a jasmine tea. Everything tasted great, and we especially enjoyed how fragrant the tea was. The food was affordable and at great value.
I would highly recommend anyone visiting Colmar to stop by this place, and give the lovely grandma a visit.

We were in town for the Christmas Markets. Found this little cafe because we wanted something quick. We did get waited on immediately, the staff was friendly and we had menus with English. We ordered mostly quiche and drinks. We should have known really that it would be awhile before our food came. It's France. But it was ridiculously long. The food was good and hot. We were the only people who got food; most just had coffee so it really should not take so long. Lovely atmosphere. Oozing old world charm. Tiny bathroom. But who cares. You're in France!

This cafe is in a quiet lane in Colmar .As soon as you enter the cafe you will be delighted with the old world charm of the decor. The owners look like your grand parents very sweet and helpful. We had an americano and cappuccino and both the coffees were good. We ordered some pastries from the counter and they were also delicious. Even though they do not understand English properly you can communicate through gestures and your order is served. In today's world of commercialized coffee shops this was a delight.

We stumbled upon this café while we were wondering the streets of Colmar. The Café has a facade typical of the early 1900s with vintage french furniture.
The coffee was good, the croissants too. But what stuck me the most was Claudine, a lovely elderly woman hustling and bustling around the place. She asked us whether we were on holiday because the place was flooding with tourists. I’m not sure she knows that she has become a social media sensation (I didn’t figure it out at that time, only later I’ve googled and seen the reels/tik-toks.)
Should we visit Colmar again, we’d go for the heartwarming feeling of home - having breakfast at my nanna.

A warm, cozy and familiar place where you can enjoy a good typical breakfast to start the morning with your batteries charged. They have a wide range of very good quality pastries and pastries, and the service is fabulous. A must stop in Colmar.

Being a fairly consistent group (5) without Reservation is not always easy!
We were looking for a quiet and pleasant place, and our steps led us by chance to the Golden Crescent!
😊 The service is nice and fast enough, we enjoyed our dishes (pie and cheese pies) in the shade 🥰 Thank you for everything 😊

We came twice during our trip to Colmar, once we tried their desserts and the other time they tried their famous croissants. Everything we ate and drank was homemade and delicious. Especially their croissants are highly praised. Although it may be difficult to find a seat because it is small and popular, a table will definitely open after you wait a bit.

Claudine's restaurant is timeless!! Cozy, generous and warm... just like the boss!!!!
In the pedestrian street, this beautiful pink window stands out for its romanticism!!!
The art deco decoration is neat, soft colors on the walls and many quality paintings and images!!! The collection of teapots is impressive. The antique furniture is tastefully chosen and the bar is extremely pretty in its original wood. The jazzy music is relaxing and you find yourself dreaming and leaving the frenzy of the street behind, everywhere. seasons in Colmar!!!!
But we don't come there to stroll around...because we eat well at Claudie's, very good indeed.
Her family cooking is generous and authentic (leek quiche this week....a delight, beautiful tartes flambées!!!) and the pastries in the windows are tempting!!!.And then Claudine has a very good green tea Japanese, a delicate sencha...pure happiness;!!
Long life to you dear Claudine and take good care of yourself!!
Big schmoutzala KAROLL.
Thanks to Isabelle for her professionalism and kindness this Thursday afternoon ☘️ ☘️ ☘️!!

I wanted to have breakfast here with my family of 8 in total. Terrace was empty and restaurant half full.
Very rude gentleman immediately told us that we were not welcome because he was alone if I understood correctly. He stood in front of the door and made it clear that we were not welcome. Especially the tone in which this gentleman makes this clear is not really okay. If we had gotten loose, there would be plenty of room. And we are really not busy people 😉 Then don't open a breakfast restaurant in a busy tourist city. Never experienced that before. Very unpleasant, don't do it!

My husband and I were here last August while visiting Colmar (from Strasbourg) for the day. We absolutely loved the ambience here, and we loved the desserts we got (I had layer cake and he had cheesecake). We plan to visit again on our next trip to the region.

Sunday morning, no reservrd table in Cafe. We were not allowed to choose a table. We do not accept such an arrogance from the staff.

We went for breakfast around 9:30/10:00. It was pretty full and we were lucky to get a table. The ambiance is charming. We wanted a croissant and pain au chocolat and coffee. They were already out of pain au chocolat. The croissants were average (pretty good but in France unremarkable). The coffee was good. The waiter was a charming older gentleman who writes orders on a sticky pad, which ends up being your bill and receipt. I wouldn’t go back because it wasn’t super great and there are a lot of other places, but it wasn’t bad.

Really nice ambience, friendly staff. However, I am afraid I can’t recommend it: really mediocre coffee.
