Cannot recommend more highly!!! Excellent quality food with exceptional service!!! We had an adults roast beef, a child's roast lamb and a roast lamb barm and all three meals were superb! The meat is the best quality, everything was served piping hot and plenty of it! Our toddler devoured his dinner!!! I haven't had a better pub lunch ever!!! Well... More

I had specific requests which Manager Mark Canny was more than happy to accomodate. Hot and cold food, some vegetarian to my budget of £250. I asked for a 'private' room as it was a wake and that I wanted to place money 'behind the bar' amd I also requested music and brought in my ipod. He was happy to... More

Prior to going on elsewhere in Chorlton for a meal I visited with two friends at 6pm on a weekday evening so not surprisingly the pub was a little quiet but pleasant. I tried a pint of Timothy Taylor's which was excellent but at £4 a pint I thought a bit pricey. Bar service, the two staff members were in... More

Been going to this pub since I was a teenager but have never eaten here. Went on Friday evening with my husband and sons 13 and 23 Had some fantastic value food. Home cooked, fresh, tasty and generous portions. All around £8 per head, fed the family for not much more than a Friday night burger takeaway, they even had... More

Irish pub/ restaurant tucked away in Chorlton. Had food here and the veggie option (Halloumi sandwich) was sublime. It's organice home-cooked food (you can tell it's not just been popped in the microwave) and amazing value for money. For 3 people, multiple ales and a couple of diet cokes, it came to under £40!

Went to this pub yesterday and Fab atmosphere.... The staff though behind the bar were not attentive... Two of the staff were avoiding serving people... Otherwise I will return hoping those staff are not working

We've just had the famous Sunday lunch and wow. The roast beef just melted in our mouths - clearly cooked differently but so succulent Came with good range of veg. Excellent value & brilliant service. Highly recommended

Okay, it's Christmas day but awful bar serving. Totally ignored me and a fella next to me. Unnecessary to have just two staff on the busiest day of year. Lots of pushing and shoving at the bar. People being served straight away or waiting for half an hour! Was my final visit here. I'll stay in next year or end... More

Apologies - for the poor service. We pride ourselves on our good customer service. I staffed the bar the same as the previous 10 years- 3 staff and me after mass from 1pm. We don't do food that day and thats normally adequate but I agree we got it wrong on this occasion; as it was unseasonably warm and we... More

Description
We are a warm and welcoming traditional pub that prides itself on providing great quality homemade food, sourced from local suppliers, such as the award winning 'Frost' the butchers of Chorlton. We are a family friendly pub showing all live sports, from the premiership football to the Irish GAA. Our recently refurbished Green Room is now dog friendly, providing a warm atmosphere to sit and have a drink after a long walk in the Chorlton Ees meadows just across the road. For those rare hot summer days, we have a large beer garden to sit and enjoy a cold drink and bowling green for a fun game of bowls with your friends. We have baby changing facilities in both the ladies and the mens toilets and a good sized car park to the rear of the pub. We offer free function room hire for a variety of occasions, from funerals to christenings, with no minimum number of guests required, nothing is too big or too small for us to cater for, just ask ! We look forward to seeing you soon. Mark,Jenny and all the team.
