Me, my family and friends have been visiting the Yadgar for over 10 years. You can't get a better, authentic curry from anywhere...I've tried! Every dish is incredible, every time. The chapatis are always freshly made and beautifully soft. You get very large portions for a very reasonable price. The food is pre-prepared so you can get a take away... More

Since starting work in Manchester in August I've been most weeks as a Friday lunchtime treat. The food is top notch and the guy is really nice. No frills dining but very authentic food. Can't recommend enough! I usually have the chicken curry, the lamb curry and either mixed veg (Friday only) or the spinach and potato. Chapatis instead of... More

Best curries in Manchester. The others don't come close. In fact, I'm going to go and get myself one now.

This cafe has long been a family favourite. Go for rice and three for a hearty low cost meal that tastes amazing. Ask for green chilli sprinkles if you want an extra kick. No frills but highly recommended.

We have been here a good few times and the food is always great tasting. 3 Curries over rice with bread. £11 for two people. Not a fancy place but the guys who serve you are friendly and the cafe is kept clean.

As most people do I went for the Rice and Three. Everything was spot on. I had Chicken, lamb, and spinach with potato. I nearly got an extra chappati as I was hungry but no need the food on the plate was filling enough. This isn't fancy dining it's the Indian food equivalent of a greasy caf but in all... More

Visited on a Friday evening and lots had sold out. I wanted a korma but being sold out was offered a hotter chicken curry and offered to try it beforehand. My husband ordered three curries and rice and asked which curries he'd get. He was told usually you'd get to choose but tonight it was based on the few remaining... More

Visited this place a couple of times because it's close enough to pop over from work. The food is way too greasy but can't complain for the money you pay for it. However the chap who serves is shockingly rude. The last time I asked him to repeat what was on the menu and got back something along the lines... More

I visited Yadgar's on a Friday afternoon and sat in while I ate my meal. I ordered the Mancunian favourite of "rice and three" (two big spoons of rice and two spoons of three different types of curry). Despite ordering this for the first time, and not sure how it worked, the man serving me was incredibly patient and courteous.... More

First time I went to Yadgar (at its old High Street location) I wasn't prepared for the curry that I got, and didn't really enjoy it. Having got used to the food on offer I now realise it's a much more rewarding experience than the generic "curries" at the tourist traps on the Rusholme "strip" Depending on the day you... More
