We hadn't been to the Chung Ying for years and it was only by chance that we finished up there this Sunday evening, but really glad we did. Usually a Sunday visit to a Chinese restaurant with the family is to one of the local buffet restaurants, but if truth be told it's the portion size rather than the variety... More

Beautifully laid out tables with lovely crispy clean tablecloths and napkins. A soft, warm ambiance that is quite and relaxing. The food is consistently first class, well presented and hot. Each course adds to a dining experience that is enjoyable. The service spaces out the courses to allow time for the enjoyment. Staff are very professional, unobtrusive and serve with... More

1st visit to this little gem, sunday buffet, not typical buffet as you order what you want and cooked to order, then if you want more you order more, the staff also serve you at your table, absolute bargain for £9.95 per head...food was really nice and of course because cooked to order hot and fresh, will definately be going back....

Brilliant food, really moreish however, I think the drinks and the actual menu is quite expensive ,not bad for a treat or special occasion.

We often ha she Sunday buffet, although it's set, it's made to order and the main dishes are on there and at £10.95 per head the food and service are top value. We now being local always order takeaway and this is 20% cheaper than the a la carte eat in menu. The chicken chow mein is around £5.95 but... More

I asked if mushrooms could be added to a dish, seemed like a simple request as I assumed everything was being cooked in a wok but this seemed to bamboozle the staff. I didn't get my mushrooms but the food was tast overall and regularly visit/ reccomend Chung Ying to friends.

This has been my local takeaway for 15 years - but I'd never eaten here. Then I found out that on Sundays they do an all you can eat banquet for a tenner so I thought I'd give it a go. The restaurant is decorated simply but stylishly with plain white walls hung with Chinese themed prints. Tables are laid... More

Went to this restaurant for the Valentine's Day special all you can eat menu. Been here before during the week and always found the food to be great, was surprised to find that on a Sunday they do all you can eat, but not the serve yourself kept warm fodder that most other places offer up. The difference here is... More

Went here Sunday afternoon. Greeted pleasently and ordered our meal. Starters came mostly fried a bit dry! Then we ordered another plate between husband and my son. This plate was cooked better than the first one. Main meal came mine a beef curry! No it wasn't it was beef en onions in dark peppered gravy very watered down. My husband... More
