We've lived in the village for about 8 years and I don't think the menu has changed in that time. We went mid week for a night off. There were no specials on. Whilst the food is ok the menu is stuck in the 90's....More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Hello, after our visit yesterday 15th February 2017 for a special occasion, why was there sachets in the condiments bowel dated April 2016? The rancid taste rather killed the palette of what 'was' a lovely lamb meal. I am sure the explanation, sorry excuse from the waiter (which would not do you any benefits) is correct. I pulled out further sachets of a different condiment also out of date. 1. Explain? 2. Why not off a fresh condiment? Are you a Pub or a Restaurant? Thank you for your attention in this matter

Take this up with the group MD which you can find on the website for La Roma, we have never had a problem, although I must say I never use plastic containing sauces!

Riverside Italian with al fresco dining at Stoneclough, near Bolton.Stefano ran La Roma in Bromley Cross for 10 years and has now moved the operation to Stoneclough, near Bolton. It’s in a picturesque spot right next to the River Irwell and outside seating makes the most of the location. Expect classic Italian food prepared fresh to order with signature dishes like their Cartoccio Mushrooms, deep-fried mushrooms stuffed with pate and wrapped in filo pastry. It’s a large menu with lots of pizza and pasta choices and plenty of meat and fish mains with seafood a real speciality here. The wine list is all-Italian. La Roma is a relaxed and intimate venue, convenient for both Bolton and Manchester. It’s open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. San Marco in Blackrod is a sister venue.
