Lovely venue set in the park. Part of the botanical gardens. Great food and great company. Very surly bar staff though. Had a great night, not sure what it's like as a restaurant but was great as a wedding venue.

We held my daughters wedding at this venue and from the ceremony through to the evening celebration I have to say was absolutely wonderful. The room looked fantastic, the food was really good and everyone had the most fantastic day. A big thank you to...More
Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure being able to look after you. Best wishes for the future.
I booked the venue for our office Christmas party (50 people). The venue is incredible and the staff were nice on the night, but that's where it ends. Communication prior to our event was terrible and the food was minimal. The food served to an...More
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am deeply saddened to hear your comments. Please note that this venue is now being ran under a completely new management team.

We tried to get a sandwich and coffee at lunchtime. We had looked forward to this as the location seems good. However sitting outside on the terrace it became apparent that no one was tending these tables. On closer inspection and investigation we realised that...More
We attended a function here last recently. The location is fantastic, ovelooking the river and the weir, with the lovely architecture across the river and the parkland surrounding. Was pleased to find plenty of free on-street parking close by, most unlike my home town -...More
Over several years, I paid a good number of visits to the restaurant in this building, with family, and with friends. It was always very good; and all accompanied by the wonderful views across the river. A few weeks ago, my wife, son and I...More
