Across from the James Herriot Museum in Thirsk UK...nice local pub, not fancy, but nice folks...Fairly well stocked whisky bar, and half a dozen droughts. Stop by after visiting the museum, it is a priceless experience.. for all creatures great and small😊

We had a big lunch with friends including babies and toddlers and it couldn't have been better. The food was absolutely perfect as was the service. I had chicken pie which was amazing. Another bonus, the puddings are GINORMOUS!

The food is cooked to perfection and the service good. Not a place you can just pop into unless your really lucky, as it is very popular, you do need to book a table.

We had Sunday lunch there last week. Do book in advance as it gets quite busy. Parking is fine as got spaces outside the premise. Food was excellent. Portion is good. Will definitely return again when back in the area.

First, I congratulate the owners on creating a calm and music-free environment - being able to talk not shout when dining is becoming so rare. Second, since I don't see the point of going out to spend good money on stuff you can knock up...More
