I visited the Greyhound with a friend whilst exploring the local CAMRA ale trail - a leisurely afternoon touring the best real ale pubs in Derby. The pub is traditional in feel, attracting all ages and many different types of people but offers good value food with fresh ingredients. We both ordered a burger The Hogfather for £12.50 (homemade burger,... More

I came here with 2 other couples and we all had burgers and hot dogs. The chips were homemade and really was amazing. We had a side of onion rings which were also very tasty and not too greasy as some times homemade onion rings can be. The service was quick and very friendly. The food was perfect and very... More

Have been coming to the Greyhound for a while now and after falling in love with the atmosphere, the pub garden and the incredible food we decided to have our wedding reception there. We booked the function room and the rooftop terrace which was an absolute bargain and is an amazing space. The staff were so helpful on the run... More

We did not book but we were able to find a table for all 5 of us, ordered 4 mains, one of our party just had a starter & a round of drinks & reasonably priced at just under £80.00 only downside (& why we were able to get a table) we were right beside the live entertainment which really... More

I originally raved to my friends and family about how good this pub is but it has changed. I have a vegetarian special the other day and the courgette was so raw I couldn't cut it. When I informed a staff member he took it away only to bring it back and to say the chef says it's OK it... More

We were disappointed to read your comments. On one occasion our Head Chef used his allotment grown yellow courgettes in a dish which have slightly thicker skins than green courgettes but these would have been cooked through. All our burgers are handmade using quality meat and we get many positive comments on them. As standard we serve all our burgers... More

Really nice environment, lovely garden and a great pub quiz on a Monday night with free chips at half time - and they are the nicest chips I've tasted in a long time. The staff are also very friendly, including the quizmaster who pops around each table to have a chat and check to see if you need any questions... More

Visit here with a group of people form work one Saturday night. The first thing you noticed when entered was the overwhelming smell of stale beer and sweaty feet. The counters were all sticky with dried beer and the floor was filthy. The beer was good and the service was great. COuld do with a good clean!

We were disappointed to read your feedback as having a clean and welcoming pub is important to us. On a busy Saturday night occasionally the bar does get sticky from spilt drinks but we can only apologise that the pub wasn’t to our usual high standard when you visited. We will share your comments with the team and ensure improvements... More

We decided to come here for lunch for a change and we were really impressed. We knew there would be a good choice of beers and were really impressed with the choice of vegetarian dishes, much more than your average pub. I chose a ramen soup and it was very tasty and a good sized portion, my husband had the... More
