Great lunch today, one of the best steaks I have ever had and cooked to perfection. The roasts were also excellent with so much meat. Keep up the good work.

Lovely pub in an excellent position, food as always was amazing. Service was good,a little disappointed they had taken chicken kiev off the menu, but the scampi was just as good and the lemon meringue roulade a must.

Stopped by as were passing and hungry. It's tired and dated but a typical local! The menu was classic pub grub - chips in a basket! But although rustic was delicious and plentiful. Staff were welcoming and helpful and didn't mind our 2 lively girls. A surprisingly pleasant visit.

Popped in today with mother in law, and as usual sunday lunch was great. More than plenty on the plate, and service was fast. One of the previous reviewers has stated its like going to a pub of the. Seventies, but I like the atmosphere here and we will be back soon. Thanks Anchor team.

The main feature of this pub is the amazing setting right on the banks of the river Severn. Lots of tables outside to enjoy the view. Traditional pub food at a good price, and a real local feel about it. Probably best appreciated in warm weather, but a cosy fire in cooler months

I have visited the Anchor Inn on various occasions. The service is always prompt and diligent. There is a good selection of beer and the food menu is good. I've had the biggest mixed grill of my life here! I have taken the kids here and they have given the thumbs up. I've also taken mum here on mother's day... More

Visited last night and have eaten here several times. The pub is on the banks of the River Severn and has a large outdoor lawned seating area overlooking the river. It is a really friendly place and the food is always good with prompt service.

So so busy with mainly middle aged bikers. No table free outside and few inside. Yet service at the bar was pleasant and efficient. The lounge is full of cricket pictures and looks a bit battered and worn. OK if you like cricket! Turned out there was a river Severn bore that evening. Had to park a long way from... More

It was like walking into a pub from the seventies. On the plus side there was a warm welcome and good service. The Stowford press was very good. However the pub needs to be completely refurbished. The owners/managers should be ashamed of the men's toilets. No lock on the door and the toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet. It... More

The food here is what you would expect from a good old country pub. Good choice, great portion size & good food at a fair price. The view across the river is beautiful in their large open garden. The Pub its self is in need of a refurbishment to bring it unto date. Staff are lovely, friendly & attentive.
