Although I have lived no more than a twenty minute walk from this pub for 16 years, this was the first time I have ever come in for a pint. From the comments of various locals over the years I was expecting something rather nice, and in some respects that is what I found. So let's look at those positive... More

Went to nearby Exhibition and could see the pub from there, so as it was on the way back to B&B decided to stop. Plenty of room to park and very good and helpfull service. The food was well presented and reasonably priced. Will come back again when attending next Exhibition and would recommend to friends.

We were attending a local show at the exhibition centre not far from this establishment and decided to have dinner. First night, it was extremely quiet. 1 or 2 families and what I assume some local punters, 5 of us ordered drinks and a main. It took 20 minutes for drinks to be served and the food was another hour... More

A nice friendly pub that is a stone throw away from Rudding Park. It serves a lovely Sunday Roast Dinner that certainly fills a gap. The pub is dog friendly and is very quaint yet snug. It has a lovely atmosphere about it and we will certainly be returning.

We came across this pub whilst staying at the camp site and we're glad we did. First class and the food was amazing. Gammon was succulent and cooked the way we like it. Steak pie was sublime. The pub is very old but inside was beautiful and clean. The car park was packed out but we walked a short way... More

We saw the sign for the Travellers Rest and followed it up a small country road. The pub itself was quaint and old fashioned with little nooks and crannies. We only wanted a snack so ordered a soup for me and a sandwich for my partner. The sandwich arrived on a large wooden platter - thick fresh brown bread with... More

This is a beautiful pub with lovely beer garden. I really wanted the food to be as good. It was not bad but not great. We had starters, main meal and 2 drinks and came to £55. Now mixed grill is the most expensive meal and plate looks huge. However not an awful lot of meat. Service very good and... More

The Traveller’s Rest dates from the middle of the 17th Century and offers fantastic views over Crimple Valley, and for those twitchers amongst us don't forget all the Red Kites we have flying by and the white crow that roosts in the tree opposite. This quaint, rural pub is one of two pubs on the famous 'Ringway Walk' around Harrogate which runs along the private lane where the Traveller's Rest is situated. We are a stone's throw from the affluent spa town of Harrogate so you have the best of both worlds. The interior boasts old wooden beams, a stoned floor area and also a light airy conservatory which leads to the garden area. This is a perfect place for a celebration or get together for a function. The enviable position of the Traveller’s Rest is what makes it a very special destination, for a lovely meal or relaxing drink of traditional beer or glass of wine. We welcome local regulars, ladies who lunch and, given the walks around us, muddy boots and dogs! We even provide water bowls for our four legged friends.
