Family of six, the restaurant was not busy, however, we had to wait ten minutes for someone to bring drinks etc despite the hum of a dishwasher being emptied in the background! The girl who served us was lovely, despite the fact that we were only one of two tables! The childrens menu is great value, our son age 14... More

Good choices on the menu but the food served can be hit and miss. The service is consistently below average, with the food sometimes being served cold.

We ended up in Cox's after a full day of sight seeing and driving. The dinner of steak we had at Cox's is one of the most memorable meals of our entire trip. I actually wish I could teleport back there some evenings just to have that meal again. Excellent service, brilliant location, pure magic.

We went somewhere else first, but without reservations they couldn't seat us. So we walked out onto the street and asked a local for a recommendation......and she said to try Cox. We were very happy that she did. The inside reminds me of being in a castle, which was a treat for our South African guests. The food was delicious.....all... More

Enjoyed dinner here. We went for the early bird menu which was two courses for fifteen euros. The food was just sumptuous and the ambience at Cox's is just great. It is like an olde world restaurant. Loved it and will be back.

Myself and my fiancé visited here after seeing a few pics of the food on trip advisor, it was his birthday so we called in for lunch in the bar on a Sunday while watching his favs (arsenal) play, the food was incredible I had the crab claws and he had the burger and chips which were both beautiful and... Ate here with my family and we were lucky enough to be in time for their early bird special!! It was the best steak I've tasted in a long time! Portion sizes were great, service was very efficient and friendly and the price was unbelievably reasonable! Will certainly be eating here again!!

Went here last night with a friend and colleague as both of us are chefs and it so happens I have to be biaoust due to the place having the same name as myself, all that aside I really enjoyed the place. Had the chicken wings to start and he had the ribs starter. Very nice on both, mains were... More

We called to Cox's 2/weeks back a family of 4. Ordered 4 steak dinners. The chef needs to learn to season as the steaks were not great no matter how much salt/pepper we added. Chips were undercooked and we won't be back. So sorry we didn't stick with our booking with Montana steak house on opposite side of road.
