Sunday in Castlebar can be difficult to get a bite to eat so when you find Mulroy's on the Main Street you are pleasantly surprised to get a table, a good menu, prompt service and a delicious meal.

A group of 17 had a very nice lunch here. The food was plentiful and was very much to everyone's liking. Served by a very efficient and pleasant young man . Would recommend this to anyone.

Upstairs is a proper, lovely, excellent restaurant, badly needed in Castlebar - but recently it had been used exclusively for functions and parties, which is a crying shame. I dislike eating in a pub, but now that is generally your only option here unless there is a special occasion. Such a rare joy was Valentine's meal this year. It was... More

When visiting here the food was well presented and a good sized portion for value for money. I had lasagbe that was very tasty with chips amd salad included in the price. We also had the bacon and cottage pie between us. All of which was nice. Great little spot for lunch with alot of locals popping in for a... More

Popped in for post shops lunch. First visit here and both ordered burgers. Steak and chicken both of which were delicious and huge portions with onion rings side also a great size. Good pint also. Service was good also and was met with in a few minutes of seating down. Friendly service overall. Would recommend for a quick well cooked... More

Have been here a few times - this place is going downhill. Food is below par and service is poor ( forgot to deliver drinks and side salad). Toilets are filthy and freezing. Ambience is dreadful. Will not be back. Sad to see a place that had potential not succeed.

.A shopping trip to Castlebar would not be complete without making time for lunch in Mulroys. The food is consistently good, the helpings are generous and there's always just the right amount of variety. Whether it's just a bowl of their delicious soup with lovely brown bread, or a full carvery followed by yummy desserts, it's all there and well... More

This is great place for lunch, a good variety of food served fresh and hot and at a reasonable price. The owner is always on hand which i always like to see.The staff are brilliant and very helpful. The place is always spotlessly clean.
