Reviewed yesterday NEW

Came here on a sunny day, and it was very busy. People who sat after us, were served their dinner before us even though we had ordered before they'd even come into the bar. Came here recently and was told they didn't have any butter for the baked potato I had gotten. Food is expensive for what you get. Even... More

Had a really lovely evening with family. Food was really good. The special of the day which was a soft shell crab and prawn burger was a big winner. Definitely going back and would highly recommend this gastro pub. Get there early to get a table due to it being so popular. They don't take reservations.

My mom and I arrived around 630 and it was a perfect spot for dinner- along the river, sat outside and there were heaters on which was nice. Had great seafood chowder, a lovely dessert and Irish coffee to top it off. The servers were very attentive and great atmosphere overall! Highly recommend !

I haven't been to Limerick since I was a teenager nearly 40 years ago! I'm certain that there wasn't a place like this then. The food was fantastic, service attentive without being over the top. Friendly staff who genuinely cared that the customer enjoys their night out. Well deserved 5 stars.

The place to go on a sunny day if you're lucky and get one. Amazing views and the food is really good. Totally worth it.

I had the crab burger with whole soft shell crab and it was as you can see from empty plate, delicious. Kate, our server was great too

Excellent chowder chock full of seafood and creamy thick, soup of the day a hearty leek and potato all served with fresh wheaten soda bread. Efficient and cheery young staff team in convivial authentic surroundings. There's a reason this place wins prizes!

Great fun, great food and great location right on the river bank. We stopped by here often while staying in the Limerick area and where always quite satisfied.

I'm not a drinker and the Guinness was very good. Dark, didn't taste like gasoline and was sooo good. The food was also excellent. Great atmosphere in a very old building.
