A wonderful Irish pub/good food. The atmosphere is lively and it's very cosy. Love it here! I highly recommend.

Went for dinner tonight and potentially to see music, which we chose not to stay for. We ordered the lamb stew and the lasagna with a white sauce. The food came and was by far the worst food we had in our 12 day visit to Ireland. The lamb was so tough I could not chew it and I would... More

Meal and staff excellent in a very popular eatery. Very tight squeeze to table with crutches. Manager and waiters/waitresses so helpful and friendly. Music live and locl.

Can't beat enjoying an evening in an establish that close to 700 years old. We had good pub food at a reasonable price. Service was quick and efficient. This was followed by taking in some live music (no cover). Just note that the music is in their courtyard which is covered but outside, so smoking is allowed. We did leave... More

Went as our hotel recommended this restaurant. We were seated downstairs which has a really great atmosphere. The music we dined to was 1980's American. We food was marginal but my husband had the lamb stew that he said was very good. The rest of us had a chicken pie which was just "ok". The food was served quickly but... More

This place was recommended by our hotel because they start live music earlier than most. Which appeals to us because we've had a long day. We decided to go for dinner and to listen to some live music. I wish I would have known that by wanting dinner, we would be seated in the basement bar. Where they played an... More

Dropped in here on Monday afternoon/evening for our dinner and was extremely happy with the food and the menu offers a traditional Irish menu and also so other dishes too. I had the bangers and mash and it was lovely the sausages were huge and the gravy to go with it was perfect! We had a couple of drinks here... More

A nice enough place with a long history, atleast according to the menu. The full bangers and mash is huge and delicious. The fish was good the chips soso. Nice family atmosphere, though it had several floors, each with a different feel. Id say its pretty touristy. We ended up in there on learn to play the irish drum night.... More

This was very interesting because they had a storyteller as well as an Irish band. The story about the first person in Kilkenny to be accused of witchcraft was entertaining. Although the band was good, they lacked sparkle and seemed as though they're a bit fed up of doing the same thing every night. The food was pleasant and the... More

Do you want authentic Irish food , music and atmosphere? Here it is. The inn has an interesting history, the food was great Pub fair and music started at 6. Had the Irish stew and local beer. We are not late eaters. The best Irish pub experience on our trip.
