Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had lunch here after a lovely walk up the Gap. They have a lovely menu ( only lunch, not dinner). The food was fresh and well presented. It’s much quieter than the other cafe and has a more relaxed atmosphere. My brother had his 3...dogs with him which was no problem for the owner and we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside in the lovely garden. Everyone (4adults, 2 children and 3 dogs) enjoyed their food and the service was very quick. I’ll definitely be going back again.More

We booked a table for a sunday lunch for my partner, my toddler and i. Upon our arrival, it took 5 long minutes until anyone acknowledged us.. A uninterested waitress finally came and sat us down pointing out that there was no need to book...instead of just saying Hello... The experience just went from bad to worse.. The service was shocking - we got plenty of eyes rolls and just nodding - it's like they all lost their voices.. It is clear they didn't want to be there and work but I'm still paying the same price.. so a smile would be nice! One of the waiter gave us such a bad look when we just nicely asked for cutlery after getting our food! Really? The waitress forgot to put our chips on our order (we asked for 4 items.....) - they arrived when we had already finished our meals.. we sent them back but they still put them on the bill (removed them upon our request) If the food would have made up for it, maybe i'd given it more stars but that was also a big disappointment.. The chicken sandwich my partner ordered was the saddest thing I'd seen! 2 pieces of chicken with 2 salad leaves.. so dry... You can get much nicer and cheaper ones in Spar or any gas stations.. My daughter sausage bap was unfortunately the same if not worse.. one poor dry sausage cut in 4 inside a buttered brioche bap - nothing else.. needless to say, she left it all... I myself had the fish cakes which to be fair were nice (probably cuz they dont make them) The prices were STEEP and all that was homegrown were the few salad leaves that garnish the plates! Worth mentioning too that the chips do not come included - hence we asked them as a side (shame they came when we had finished our meal) Not once, anyone asked us how was our meal, not once anyone smiled at us... We left rather upset and still very HUNGRY This is what I call a tourist trap at his best!More

Went to see the gap of Dunloe and came across this place. On arrival and while awaiting to be seated it was pretty clear that the customer service was poor as if we were invincible. Eventually a lady came to take us to one of...the empty tables (plenty of them by the way). No hello, not even a smile, no hospitality gesture, not even a fake greeting was offered. Just left two breakfast menu on the table (it was lunch time by the way) and said she will come back (there were four of us). I asked for a lunch menu and reluctantly a different lady came. Not sure about the food but pretty obvious hospitality is not their best attribute. Maybe not used to having brown-skinned tourist, who knows. One thing for sure, will never return no matter how good their food might be.More

I visited with friends for breakfast recently. Heathers had come highly recommended so my expectations were high. I was a little disappointed. It's lacking something, and, I was annoyed that the breakfast menu did not include porridge. I mean no porridge in Ireland! There are...so many nice places to eat in Killarney I'm not sure I would drive out here again. On the upside, the coffee was fantastic.More

Had lunch here last week whilst staying in Killarney, what a gem. Like thousands of other tourists we had passed this building on way to/from Gap of Dunloe and hadn't noticed it as the shop element Moriaritys is what catches your eye. The food is...just excellent, veg and herbs from garden, great value € 42.00 for homemade soup, two warm chicken baps , two desert s , coffee and one glass wine. the quality and freshness is very noticeably high. The staff are just excellent , and really know their food. This is one place that I will return to and highly recommend , well doneMore

We had a great lunch-time visit with four adults and two littler kids (15 months and 3 1/2 years) one July Thursday not long before we left the area for the trip home to the US. Had I been here earlier in our trip I...would have definitely made several visits. The food was excellent (both for adults - the Heather Ruben and Lamb Burger were both well beyond expectations - and for kids including a sweet potato soup special and a wonderful pasta bolognese), the coffee very nice, service warm from a number of employees, and the chocolate layered cake (dark chocolate, meringue and almond cake - which turned out to be gluten free, an accessibility bonus for one of us) was the one pastry we sampled (with others looking enticing as well) and fantastic. The grounds are friendly for exploring, with a foot path over a stream, and even educational with signs labeling plants, shrubs and trees. Greens served at the restaurant are grown on site and you can taste the freshness. Free WiFi is a nice bonus, as is a gift shop with some quality offerings beyond the common.More

Always wanted to visit this place and got the chance for lunch with my wife and Daughter. I had the cheese board and my wife the home cooked ham and cheese bap! My daughter had off the kids menu pasta!. The cheese board and meats...was probably the best I've had in Kerry, it came with griddled bread, pesto and chutney but my only crib was , no ham ,a little Spanish for me! Cheeses. Fab. My wife's bap, and Slaw as menu explained was OK but a few salad leaves and chunks of beetroot is not a slaw, also ham wants, cries out for, your chutney's but you had none. Pasta OK but drink accompanied with it she never got , we did ask? Deserts?, no colour on display? Bland looking, ice cream in a paper, bought in, tub, really? Apple pie, only with cream, no ice cream or custard and cold???? You have a great Garden, any mint for Garnishing????? Poor .Busy Tourist spot, but locals won't come back if service is as cold and unwelcoming, as here... Shame......More

We stopped at this peaceful location for lunch as part of our tour group. The staff was wonderful, getting us in and out quickly. The food was good and the staff was very attentive to our needs. After lunch, we were able to stroll through...the beautiful grounds where they grow many items included in the meals. The attached gift shop was very nice and had a large selection of items. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area.More
