I have eat in Vina Mara on a few different occasions and it has never disappointed. Vina Mara is well located in Galway City. The presentation of the food is always impressive and tastes exceptional (hats off to the chef). The staff are excellent nothing was too much trouble! The service is prompt and without that rushed feeling. Nice relaxed... More

Went here for the steak special and a lovely glass of wine - a top quality dining experience, attentive yet unobtrusive staff and a good atmosphere.

We went on a Thursday night so it was just 20euro for two courses with a couple of euro supplement for the steak. Portions were huge and everything was cooked to perfection. Got the Tipperary Brie for starters which was delicious then the steak medium rare for mains. The steak was beautifully cooked and of top quality. Had we wanted... More

Popped in here for lunch last Saturday. It was fairly busy, the mains were €10 but it was hard to find anything I fancied on the menu. I selected a pasta vegetarian dish in the end but it was nothing out of the ordinary, portions were small, went elsewhere for dessert and coffee.

We were up from West Cork for 1 night and having our own restaurant we can b so picky so delighted to find here. As chefs we were looking at the michelin places ( all empty at 7pm not a good sign) and passed here. It was full we even took the last table. From food to service to atmosphere... More

We have been in a few times now and this restaurant deserves a mention. If you are on a budget they do special deal for a main course Mon-Wed, and special lunchtime prices too, but overall the regular menu is very reasonable for the quality of food. They have a vegan and usually a coeliac option, and the meat and... More

Walking past, looking for a quick bite to eat early Saturday evening. I thought that this might be a jewel because any tables were needed for later on. Food was magnificent. A seafood chowder followed by braised beef. Simply excellent, perfectly cooked, delightfully served.

Things I liked- really friendly staff, very speedy service (keeping in mind I ate here at 3pm in the afternoon), and overall tasty food with enough variety to suit someone who only eats fish/vegetarian. I had the seafood chowder- it wasn't really hot enough at all. Lukewarm fish soup is not ideal. Came with bread that was dry- perhaps it... More

A group of us had dinner there and we were all disappointed with the portion sizes, they were small. I had the Daube of Beef tender but fatty it came with some potato and a little veg puree. We had to order veg, chips and potato extra as did other people around us. A service charge of €1 of a... More
