We started with Crispy Aromatic Duck. It's hard to believe that duck can be so dry, but it was, unbelievably so. I had chicken with ginger & spring onion for main. The sauce was nice but the chicken was....you've guessed it. Dry, like eating cardboard. This restaurant is not cheap, €22 for a duck starter for 2. At these prices... More

The service and speed was extremely fast and efficient, with the meal being served quickly. The meal was flavoursome and at a great temperature. I would definitely eat here again. Great meal.

Guys serving from this restaurant are lovely but the food is at best average. Their food is all pre-prepared & reheated. They give you lots of rice if that's what you like well & good. The portions (apart from rice) are small, I' just under 8stone & not a greedy eater. It's OK if nowhere else to go but I... More

Got a great recommendation to go here but it wasn't as nice as we expected. And certainly not for the price. The decor was quite dark. Service was very good. The food wasn't bad but it didn't match the price.

I've only eaten here once but I'll definitely be doing so again. The food was fantastic and very reasonable price wise. This was for a collection so I don't know how varied the prices are to eat in there. When I went to collect, the restaurant looked really nice and tranquil. I would love to eat in here some time... We ate here on a quiet Wednesday evening. Service was very prompt and the restaurant was modern and spotless. It's our first time eating here since it changed from Asian fusion back to royal villa. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the BBQ spare ribs to start and the chicken curry for main. My companion had chicken satay skewers and... More

Nice chinese upstairs in Oranmore, (there is a lift if you need it). The food is your standard chinese / malaysian fare, not bad, but nothig very exciting either...a nice starter of salt chicken wings /deepfried prawns/ satay on a stick, main sourses of sizzling plates of Satay (a bit gimicky at this stage), the pork kung po was ok,... We had been intending to visit The Royal Villa restaurant, for quite some time. Friends had told us that it was good, so we finally made the effort on a windy autumn evening. I do not think that I have ever written a review without including some negative aspect of the experience, In this case, I can think of none.... More

One of the nicest Chinese restaurants in Galway. The "early bird" menu is great value and lasts for most of the evening (until 11pm Mon to Thurs).
