If you are in Galway the Au Pucan is a must to drink, eat and listen to wonderful Irish music. We had the pleasure of listening to two guys called The Strumberrys. Brilliant musicians and singers. Two hours of typical Irish songs which is not...More

The waitresses were very helpful and nice. Food was good, except onion rings. They were all oily dough. Would go again if there.

Stopped in for the music which was really good but stopped at 8:00pm. Granted it was Monday night. Dinner was fine for a pub. It was the whiskey that made the evening. Great selection and reasonable prices. The pub is huge with a large patio...More

Spent the afternoon in the An Pucan over the weekend and it is a great bar and a must if you are in the centre of Galway. We had a great meal and a few drinks in the beer garden to the rear of the...More

Only came here for a drink while on holidays in August with my wife, and ended up spending the whole night here due to the craic and atmosphere. The music was good and the decor was quirky, colorful and the cocktails and pints were pretty...More

We were advised to go here for the music. The night we were here, a Tuesday, it was a young couple of guys up first, then we waited until 9.30pm for the next act. It was a single artist singing contemporary songs. He was okay,...More

Great food and drinks. Friendly staff. Back of the place was quite loud but the front had live music playing. Wish we could have been in that area but eventually they dubbed in the live music instead of playing songs. I'd recommend for a good...More

Best beer garden/smoking area in the city. Spoken as a Galwegian returned home for holidays. Did not try the food personally but bar-wise, I was happy with the friendly service and quality.

Good food, great staff, loads of whiskey, music, my favorite beers on tap but I go for the amazing garden. Year round. Trust me. I've had just as nice a time in December as in July.

Good and friendly service. Early music. Food and music stop at 8 before music resumes at 9:30. Food was typical pub quality. Fourth star for the good music and good vibe.
