I went here for my sisters hen party last weekend, we had a booking for 34 people. We had our own private room which was nice. The food was absolutely gorgeous! I had the fish cakes and the lamb shank. For such a large group all of the food came at the same time, it was all hot and everyone... More

We loved the food, ambiance and excellent service in this city center restaurant. We had a lovely evening there and highly recommend it.

I recently went for a meal in Cookes. Was highly impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The restaurant has a lovely warm cozy atmosphere.Ian our waiter was a breath of fresh Air and he is certainly a credit to the establishment.

Food was nice but service was slow and a bit expensive for what we got, the young lady who served us was pleasant and helpful but I felt that this restaurant was much better the last time we visited which was a few years ago

Had a private room for a party of 25 people for a hen. People got delayed as traffic was bad and there was no problem. Food and wine was lovely. Requested the a la carte menu for the large party. Thanks for Trish for organising the night.

Had dinner with a friend and it was lovely. The chickpea curry was great and gluten free. A great spot for coeliacs, well catered for. The same evening we shared the restaurant with our lovely president. A great value early bird menu available too.

I found it wondering off Shop Street and had lunch. It was so good I returned several times taking my girlfriend. The service was excellent, the menu diverse, and the food excellent. The atmosphere of the building is very welcoming. However, it's deceptively large with two floors of dining. Well worth visiting, and repeatedly

Lovely staff and setting but really disappointed with the quality of the food. Steak was tasteless and this was served with oven chips and packaged pepper sauce for €24 each. Will not be returning

Went for lunch here with my friends had been here once before and got a nice enough steak sandwich which is no longer on the menu. However, this time I ordered butterfly chicken which came out of the kitchen dry with a rock hard roast potato and a few soggy vegetables on the side. It was supposed to come with... More

Had a beautiful meal here. Just walked in on spec and were accommodated by welcoming staff. Starters, mains and desserts were spectacular. Nice atmosphere. Pretty reasonable given the standard of food on offer. Would recommend.
