Galway is a great town for classical music and restaurants. When we make the trip there for a concert we like to pick someplace new to dine. In April the concert was in Salthill and we chose the Black Cat because we like tapas style dining. Our individual choices were great tasting and we had room for desert which is... More

What a find! A tiny little tapas bar in salthill that has an amazing menu for both food and wine. We had the pork belly, the prawns and the best cheek. One was better than the next and the wine was just beautiful. The staff have to be commended also. Book in advance

Had dinner here last night and no complaints! The ambiance is relaxed. The staff are attentive. The food is excellent - I had Chowder followed by the Black Cat Pasta - a delightful seafood dish with black pasta. To finish I had Affogato. Considering the quality of the food it is quiet reasonably priced. I will be back!

Had a lovely stay, very central in salt hill with a walk to the beach and near all the bars and restaurants. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, best sleep in a long time. Yes the rooms are small but perfect for a short stay or weekend, best to be out exploring the beautiful scenery and things to do locally.

Lovely sort of romantic place with good food. Went here with friends and really enjoyed it. You can have a good selection of different dishes and the staff are very nice. In summer time you can sit outside and watch the world go by!!!

This is a lovely restaurant and I had wanted to eat here for a while. Had lunch and chose the open crab sandwich. Unfortunately this was not a great choice. Elements of same were good however the crab was overwhelmed by other ingredients and as a result I was disappointed. I will however come again as I have heard very... More
