I had lunch here with my family over the Christmas period. We were 4 adults and three children. The service we received from entering the restaurant to leaving was second to none. The waiting staff were brilliant with our three kids who ordered themselves and had a lot of time for their chats. My youngest even showed off his minecraft... More

Regularly eat here when on visit to Galway. Good choice for either Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner!!! Highly Recommend the French Toast for breaskfast!! Generally has a good menu selection overall and while busy staff are usually very attentive!! Worth a visit if in the city.

We visited Maxwells yesterday for a late breakfast and ended up staying for 2 hours we enjoyed it so much! The full Irish breakfast was so fresh and piping hot and the homemade ketchup is to die for! My partner got the steak sandwich and the quality of it was amazing as she has tasted the majority of steak sandwiches... More

I have traveled the to galway many times of the years , we were looking for some where to eat , not content with just fast food after a long drive and shopping , we were having a look around the pedestrianised streets for something new and by chance it was Maxwell's , in plain sight on . It looks... More

I visited Maxwell's twice last month (December 2016) - once for dinner, and again for breakfast. I hadn't been for breakfast before - it was a delight for my tastebuds :) I opted for a lighter meal (omelette and fruit/yogurt), since I had enjoyed the Full Irish Breakfast the prior two days elsewhere in Galway. The food quality was excellent,... More

I was so pleasantly surprised with the lunch we had after Christmas in Maxwells. Everything was extremely fresh and a lot of care had clearly gone into the preparation of the food. The service was efficient and friendly and the food is very reasonably priced for the quality. The location is also second to none. Will definitely be back.

I've been twice this month and both times they were equally as accommodating as I arrived with my double buggy that I wanted by the table as my smallest son was asleep and they were fine about that and found me a table that would fit the buggy at it. Food was excellent, we all highly recommend pizza, burger and... More

Arrived quite by chance, looking for a varied menu that would suit a party of 5 with differing requirements. Maxwells was perfect, a couple of us had the lunchtime special, I was lucky to opt for the chowder! Service was fine for a busy restaurant and at €10 per head was very good value.

My husband and I shared the seafood chowder and wee very pleased. We went on to have the Thai mussels and clams as well as the salmon mac n cheese. It was perfect for a cold day and for seafood lovers! We thought the prices were very reasonable.

In over the Chritsmas for an evening meal food was very good and reasonable priced the service was good in nice surroundings. Only complaints would be the lighting is quite dim and why do restaurants insist on giving you your food on everything but a plate. Over the past while I have been giving my food on a roof slate!??... More
