The service is very good with a good range of beers and other drinks including tea etc. It is a pub with heaps of room and tables. It was a cold night so the fire was welcomed. I had a few "Rockshore Irish lagers. Very...More

Had the privilege of listening to FEEDBACK—a phenomenal 3-piece cover band. Their unique arrangements of dozens of artists’ left the crowd mesmerized. Instrumental interludes highlighting a single instrument were clever & well-placed, and superb rhythms lifted oldies to their rightful place today. Credence Clearwater RB,...More

It was the best stew, and not only in Galway, I've ever had. I would definitely recommend the lasagne too.

Some friends and I visited here on a Friday night for drinks and there was such a buzz about the place. Its a busy spot with a great selection of cocktails and whiskeys. The band were great and everyone was friendly and up dancing together.

We had a nice meal and time in this pub. Nice ambiance with lourd music, and both football and rugby in different screens. Kids menu ( with crayons and coloring sheet) and we were served at the table, even the drinks!

Great food. Great people. Great Guinness. The staff here were so helpful to us on our first day in Galway. Giving us places to go for the best music and we so enjoyed it here. We went back several times because we felt at home.

We were in Galway during the summer arts festival. Music was everywhere. Monroe's has the best little venue for watching a band. Great balcony overlooking an intimate stage.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Plenty of punters as you would expect, an excellent live band. As with so many Irish pubs/bars they have retained their traditional “pubby” feel, unlike pubs in England, which are now mostly restaurants first and bars second. Friendly atmosphere, well...More

This place can offer up some amazing food and beverages and is accompanied by some lovely staff. However, sometimes it is like a different place altogether. Food being sub-par and staff seeming very hostile and unorganized. But give the place the benefit of the doubt...More
