It's hard to really put my two experiences at Artisan in words, other than, truly stunned by it's sumptious ala carte menu and wonderfully tempting wines! Myself, my father, and my wife have eaten here many times and we cannot wait to go back each and every time. Like every GREAT restaurant: it nudges you with reminders of last time,... More

Enticed by their price fix menu, we came with another couple without reservations on a early Saturday evening and were offered their side room, which was perfect for conversation, away from other diners. The meal and service were fabulous. We tried most of the menu, very memorable and picture worthy eats!

Very impressed with this restaurant, food was delicious and very high quality. The set menu for 25 euro is very good value for money. The waitresses were very attentive. Only issue we had was a very small selection of wine with some that were on the menu out of stock but the wine we ordered in the end was delicious

We had great expectations given Artisan's inclusion on the list of Galway's fine dining experiences. Our casual welcome on arrival set the tone for the evening with a cynical waitress who obviously felt the hospitality industry owed her a living, a green !! - yes green concoction which passed for chowder, and pig's cheeks which the creature herself would have... Ate in Artisan on Sat evening. Expected a nice meal having eaten there a few times previously and enjoyed on those occasions. Sadly not this time. We arrived early and the restaurant was chilly to the point of being a bit uncomfortable. We went for the set menu. My main course which was chicken was really poor, completely tasteless, ate... This is my favourite restaurant for chowder. Best in Galway. They serve it with delicious homemade soda bread. Deserts are great too. You can enjoy your food outside if you lucky with weather or nice view on Shop Street.

My wife and I had dinner at Artisan on a Friday evening. She really was surprised and delighted by our food. They serve fresh and local food and know how to cook them.

Popped in for impromptu dinner. Waitstaff were able to accommodate us. I had the scallops & brill, which were delicious - my husband had the chicken liver (very generous portion) & Korean short ribs, he had the dessert platter & I had the creme brûlée. All in all a lovely food very friendly & attentive staff :)

We had a meal here on NYE. The restaurant is fabulous. There was four of us and we had a table in its own little room really private. We even had a bell to ring for champagne right up my alley 😀 The food was amazing. I had steak and my husband had the sea trout and both were excellent.... More
