Visited Monty's for the first time last night but it certainly won't be the last. The food was absolutely amazing. We didn't have a reservation but I'd definitely make one if I wanted to go at the weekend as it's pretty tiny. We ate off...More

We visited Monty's of Kathmandu because of other reviews on Tripadvisor and we were both very impressed overall with the experience. The restaurant is small and cosy. The street level sat 50 persons or so, and I know there was a level below, but we...More

I went there for my birthday with my children. The restaurant forces you to order a main dish per person even though they were children. We started with poppadoms and they forgot to bring one of the sauses. The table was very small and the...More

My wife, cousin, and I had a marvelous Nepalese dinner at Monty's. The food is lovely, the presentation is grand, the prices are very reasonable, and the waiters are incredibly helpful and attentive. If you are in Dublin, all three of us HIGHLY recommend this...More

Went there accidently. Coming from India and as true and rather picky foodies ,did not accept much from a Nepali / Indian food restaurant in touristy temple bar area. But we were in for surprise as the food and presentation was great. So was the...More

We had heard many good reports of this restaurant so when we decided upon an impromptu visit to Dublin we went in search of it. It did not disappoint. The decor is as you would find in most long established Indian restaurants. The staff were...More

This is a favourite of Dubliners and tourists a like. Great Nepalese cuisine. Friendly service. An unbeatable wine list. All in the centre of the city.

Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
