Visited for lunch on Saturday. First time ever we beat the crowds. Great food, guirky surroundings and would suit a group of tourists drinking and eating for the afternoon or just as suitable for a coffee and sandwich while the wife shops Henry streeet dry. If you haven't been give it a try you won't regret it.

We had specifically booked and paid a deposit for a group of 17 people, and been told we would all be seated on the same table. When we arrived, a table of 12 were seated together and a separate table of 6. Spoke to the manager who moved us downstairs to a cellar area which seemed to be turning into... More

We visited the Church Restaurant twice this week. The first time we had dinner upstairs. The service was good but I do not suggest ordering the sirloin steak. It was fatty and tough and that was for 2 of us at the table. I mentioned to the waitress but the staff did not seem to care. The drinks are good.... More

North of the Liffy, across the Millenial Bridge, this beautiful bar and restaurant is in an old church. Unlike many of Dublin's popular pubs which are small, crowded, and often hot, The Church has ample space, lots of comfortable seating and its high ceilings keep it from getting stuffy and too noisy. My wife had the pork belly special which... More

You can have a pint at one of the bars or dine inside or outside the church were Arthur Guinness, founder of the Guinness Brewery got married. This once important church for the Dublin community is now an upscale chic restaurant and bar with outdoor seating adjacent to a plaza, north of the Liffey in Dublin.

We went to the Church Cafe for drinks and a light meal expecting a run of the mill experience. We ended being served the best meal after a week in Ireland. The environment is special, being in a converted church. The staff is very attentive and delightful. We were served by Valentine and Beata and they were great. I would... More

Great place to have a drink, finger food or fine diner! My recommandation is to go upstairs for a real diner. Great plates and quality! After you can stay downstairs, nice atmosphere as well for a beer and finger food (great as well), you can see at times traditional tap dance show. As well, for sunny days, large terrasse outside...
