If you're looking for a special Irish Whiskey this is the place you should go. After unsuccessfully looking for a quite new Irish whiskey in different pubs we finally found it in this place. We were also lucky of getting a nice place to sit in the extra room behind the bar and enjoyed out time there very much.

A proper no thrills Dublin bar serving decent Guinness for a fair price in Temple bar, a rare animal. Great bar.

Having heard that this was a good genuine (as opposed to '"Traditional") Irish pub I visited the Palace with my family while on a trip to Dublin, hoping for something like a sandwich lunch. There were probably 20 or so elderly locals in there sitting drinking or having lunch at tables around the perimeter; they all eyed us up suspiciously... More

My husband and I stopped in for a pint after dinner. We sat in the back in very comfortable chairs. I was comfortable as it was a nice mix of clientele with everyone after a good pint or drink. Not a raucous one in the bunch, a really nice feel to the place and an excellent Guinness.

Called in for a pint after shopping. Hasn't changed since I first went in there in the 80s (apart from the smoking ban). All are welcome here, no loud music, one can sit and ponder. Or chat. Doesn't matter.

Visited Dublin a few times and the Palace is the best place to go for a Guinness. Its a great little place with a small snug as you enter, staff are really helpful and as you have to wait for the Guinness to settle which is always a good sign they will bring it to your table.

This is one of the oldest pubs in Dublin and it is full of character. Lots of dark wood and divisions make it a must to visit

Nice Irish pub, with friendly down to earth staff. You don't even realise you are in Temple bar area

The place is located in a busy shopping area and sits on a busy corner. It's clean and friendly and comfortable seating. Many private sections and outdoor seats. The food was good and the service was very good. The price was very fair.
