Bottom floor was crazy busy, so we went to the second floor where there’s a whiskey bar and was pleasantly surprised. Cozy seating in an intimate setting - feels like you’re in a Victorian living room. Great selection of whiskeys.

Visited three times when in Dublin for a week with friends, that tells you how good a bar this is. Very narrow alley type bar which then leads into a snug back room. Both bartenders and clientele were friendly warm and talkative full of good...More

Small very authentic pub. Personal is very attentive and serve you very quickly even though the pub is crowded. They even have a seating area at the back of the pub. Otherwise just stand and enjoy your Guinness at the bar.

Dublin is full of bars and pubs but for me the Palace stands out. It’s authentically very old, with original wood panelling etc, simple, cosy and the beer is great. Even had a friendly little dog entertaining the customers in the back.

Spent 8 days in Dublin and had a drink here almost every night. Lovely atmosphere and the bartenders are very kind.

This is a lovely traditional Irish Pub, excellent selection of drinks and the service is great. Well worth a visit as the pub has been in the same family for we believe over 70 years, very enjoyable experience.

As my wife and I already had our pint (or 2 or 3) at the usual Temple Bar spots, we were searching for another option where we could relax, have a good whiskey, and chat about our adventures thus far on our trip. This spot...More

We chose to stay in Temple Bar for the nightlife but found it resembled Bourbon Street in New Orleans just a bit too much. The Palace was the perfect pub for our nightcaps and afternoon primers each day. Willy (owner) treated us like locals, as...More

We visited this pub the day of hurricane Ophelia, when most of the country was shut down. This could explain a couple of oddities we noted. The bar itself is quite nice inside, full of history and charm. A patron's small dog happily roved freely...More
