We collected 2 x set dinners, each one for 2 persons, recently by click and collect which were absolutely fabulous. The surf and turf with fillet steak, prawns and mussels was wonderful. No need for steak knife as steak was so soft and succulent. Lovely...selection of vegetables/potatoes. Starters of seafood risotto was really delicious and the other starter of goats cheese with a caponata salsa and brioche was dreamy. The Cod was fabulous with lovely flakiness and came with the starters of seafood risotto and a delicious Cajun seafood chowder. Each dish was impressively packaged for take away and was still nicely hot when it arrived home. This quality food is hard to come by and I cannot recommend it highly enough. What a fantastic effort to provide a restaurant experience in your own home, Well done Vintage Kitchen... we are already looking at booking again for next week. Keep up the good work!More

Ok 2020 has been a year to remember ( or forget) but here in Ireland the Restaurants are back open again just in time for Santa. Anyway my wife & I decided to do lunch in a restaurant where we’d like to be regulars but...pre COVID it was difficult to get a booking due to popularity. Well we got there today for lunch. I could just finish now by saying ever single aspect of our visit was amazing. A big statement in the difficult times Resturant’s have to live in. We went for the 3 course Christmas menu €35pp. Great value great food. The boss had Wicklow duck pate I had the most amazing starter ever Fish Bouillabaisse, crab salad & crispy chicken wing. Tasted even better than it strangely sounds. Great Mushroom risotto and the best turkey & ham plate I’ve ever seen. Cheese board to finish. We had the house wine which is good but this restaurant is still a BYO until mid January if you want even more value. Book a table now before the hoards return. Enjoy and thank you Vintage Kitchen for a great meal & kicking me into the Christmas spirit. 👏More

We ordered a dinner box to collect for a birthday dinner at home. As it was the first weekend back in level 3, we were in no rush to eat out. We selected one of their ‘menu for 2’ choices. All the food was ready...when I arrived to collect it- piping hot- and (unlike other dinner box restaurants, everything is already cooked) ready to go. Dinner consisted of fabulous Guinness bread, a tomato based chowder - brimming with fish - a prawn risotto ( the best in Dublin), followed by slow cooked lamb shanks, with chard, carrots and potatoes....Seán included a complimentary cheesecake. There was enough food here for three hungry adults. The food was delicious. Quite simply. It was great to see the Vintage Kitchen open for actual customers....but as it returns to it’s former popularity, I sincerely hope that the take-away-collect option will continue. A great experience.More

I was delighted when I found out that the Vintage Kitchen were providing a click and collect service during the current Covid restrictions. We had the most fantastic meal. We had the beef, fish and vegetarian menus and all were absolutely beautiful with exceptionally fresh...ingredients. The food was really well presented and still hot enough when we got it home after 30 mins or so (very easy to re-heat if you have a longer trip tp make). The portions were extremely generous and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The fish and seafood (prawns and mussels) were all cooked to perfection. And as a really nice touch, we were given complimentary desserts for everyone which were equally delicious. I cannot recommend highly enough. Excellent food and excellent service and a real treat during this pandemic. Places like this who are putting in such a huge effort during these difficult times deserve support and I will definitely be back soon!More

How to celebrate special events in a Covid Lockdown? Get a takeout from the wonderful Vintage Kitchen ! We had the number 1 menu, it was superb. The fish soup and shellfish risotto brought us back to memorable eating experiences in Spain, the fillet of...beef was beautifully cooked and the deserts were excellent. The food was ready for collection exactly on time, and was well insulated. We will definitely repeat the experienceMore

Over the years I have enjoyed many top class meals in this quirky restaurant. I was delighted to discover that they were offering take away through the lockdown but wondered if they could maintain the same fantastic quality. Needn't doubted, every morsel of the prawn...risotto and hake dishes were superb as was the chocolate fondant that we couldn't resist sqeezing in on top of the very generous portions we recieved (with enough leftovers in the meal for 2 for lunch the following day). Just to give an idea of the level of service, we live out of town and on enquiring about the catchment area for delivery, the lovely owner Sean insisted that it would be no problem to drop it to us on the way home as we were on his route! As soon as I heard they were reopen I secured a table for a girls night out for 4 of my friends, each if which raved about the food and were thrilled with being able to bring their own vino. With a very reasonable set price menu and BYO it makes for a lovely excuse to catch up with friends or enjoy a romantic meal like we did last week for my husbands birthday without breaking the bank. Infact the quality and quantity for the price is unrivalled in Dublin. Service is so friendly and genuine, professional but not intrusive or formal. Perfect gap between courses and the menu options leave one dying to go back to try all the other choices. Its such a pity that these guys have had to close once again. The efforts they put in to social distancing and complying with regulations is unreal. Tables separated to the extent that you'd wonder how they could make money with so few seats given the quality of the food. Clearly a lot of money was spent on redoing the restaurant with low seating and high bar seating if you like being part of the busy chef action. Hand sanitiser on every table and all staff wearing masks and keeping their distance while maintaining the intimate service that sets vintage kitchen apart from other places. I felt compelled to write this review as witnessing first hand how hard this place worked to do what was asked of them and guaranteeing such a good experience on every occasion it needs and deserves a special mention and support. Try it out, you won't be disappointed and when they do get to reopen the good news is that with the lack of tourists its actually possible to get a table these days without months of notice!More

Knowing that all of the Restauranteurs in Dublin have been suffering since the pandemic we decided last Friday just to head into Dublin city for a drive around to see what might happen and maybe we would have dinner. Took the Tunnel and drove up...Pearse Street with the intention of heading towards College Green. Took a vagary and turned towardMore
