Overall we enjoyed Pichet. The service was excellent. We were seated in the back room, just in front of a wall of wine which meant servers had to reach over us for bottles a couple of times. Awkward, but manageable as it is a small restaurant. It was a little too noisy but not intolerable. The chicken liver starter was unbelievably great - really tasty and unusual. Unfortunately, my halibut was seriously overcooked - dry and chewy - and the small mussels in the sauce tasteless. My husband's steak special was excellent, so maybe just an off night. We enjoyed our visit and would return.

This was about the 7th occasion we ate in this place, and have never been disappointed with either the food, the service or the value for monies. Food cooked to perfection as always. Definitely worth a visit when in Dublin. Worthy of its Bib Gourmand..

We were lucky to get into this gem of a restaurant on the 18th May after taking the last table available at 830. From the moment you walk in you are given 5 star treatment from the hostess to the waiters and the food is to die for. Starters of steak tartare was unbelievable and so soft and tasty Mains of duck cassoulet was soft , pink and full of flavour. Lamb was so tasty and full of beautiful flavours. Puddings were delicious and full of flavour. 4 glasses of wine and 200 euros later is as an experience that deserves its Michelin star status Well done Pichet team , we will be back once we are in Dublin again

This evening we went to Pichet to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a great evening. Food was good, staff couldn’t do enough and all in all a lovely evening. We had three courses including two bottles of wine. We knew it was expensive but it was a special evening. We booked for 18:45 and told on arrival our table was for two hours. Fine, we have been to lots of restaurants where two hours is the limit. The difference is, at other restaurants our food was delivered timely, so we were finished within two hours. This was not the case this evening. Five minutes before our time was up the owner approached us saying our table had been rebooked and he needed us to vacate it, we could go to the bar with our drinks. I pointed out, we still had a further five minutes and wine to finish, we had literally just finished our desert, the empty plates were still on the table. We stated this had never happened to us before, despite being in restaurants with a two hour window, in fact we always left within that window without any prompting as we had finished our meal well within the time. He therefore allowed us a further five minutes. By this point we were upset. I then accidentally knocked over wine breaking the glass and when I looked up a waiter was there with a tray ready to take our drinks, despite what the owner had said. It then seemed like the right thing to leave as no matter what happened from this moment forward, we were upset. Morale of this story is, a nice restaurant but even though there were tables empty, we were chased off ours for no apparent reason other than money grabbing! I would have thought customers spending more than £200.00 for two guests would be treated as valueable but that was not how we felt. We plan to visit Dublin again but will be giving this restaurant a wide berth. We work hard for what we have and deserve to enjoy spending it. On this occasion I begrudged every single penny.

I really wanted to love Pichet. My partner and I try to eat at one Michelin rated restaurant on every trip and this was our choice for Dublin. And I have to say, the food and service were lovely. The staff was very attentive and never let our water or wine glasses get empty. The housemade focaccia was divine and we shared a starter of the Jerusalem artichoke that was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate (I didn't.) My partner got the lamb and I got the mushroom risotto and they were both fantastic. The problem was, in the 90 minutes it took us to get our starters and entrees, the restaurant filled up. We were in the back room and there were three groups of 6-10 people along with several tables of 2-4. Their wine was also flowing and the groups got so loud that we couldn't even hear ourselves talking, despite sitting next to each other. We ended up leaving before dessert and coffee because of the volume, which kind of put a damper on the entire meal.

Pichet was recommended by our hotel The Wilder as a place to celebrate my husband’s 75th birthday. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the service impeccable. Our only complaint was just how noisy it was as they had a couple of big tables next to us. It was fun watching the staff assembling the meals. Almost like an episode of The Bear. Delicious.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Service was good. Food was OK but it wasn't very exciting and it didn't feel very special. My main course duck breast was fine but expected more for €43. The dessert of a mince pie financier at €15 was a bit hard to swallow.

Booked this restaurant for my husband’s 65th birthday. Food was excellent but unfortunately service was below average probably because there was a large party in. We had to wait for our side dish with our mains despite having delivered our mains. The website talks about a set menu but when we asked for this we were told it only applies if there are more than 6 people. The website doesn’t make this clear so we felt mislead and ended up paying more than we had expected.

Without a doubt, Pichet is the best restaurant in Dublin city and created some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of consuming. It was so good, we went multiple times on our week long work trip/vacation from the States, foregoing previous reservations. The staff was incredible, with stand out waiters like Dominic and Ante showing us true hospitality in service. The stand out foods were the short rib, halibut, and cabbage, with the easy street being far and away my favorite cocktail ever. The prices were incredibly reasonable, especially for the value and quality, shocking to my friend and I, we could have spent easily double in Seattle or Portland where we are from. There is not enough good things I can say about Pichet and it will be my first meal every time I come to Dublin from now on.

Booked a long time in advance. Staff very friendly and chatty with all customers. Portions are perfect, maybe some people will say too small but perfect for Fine Dinning. Huge choice of wines. Only negative point, no sign of potatoes in any main course, disappointing regarding the fact it's so many possibilities with potatoes, (pommes dauphine, potato gratin, croquettes, gnocchi, duchesse, soufflées...) no way I pay extra for potato! Anyway was a very positive experience at good price, regarding the fact we are in Dublin, quality of food, presentation and the current challenging climate for food industry.

Bistro style decor, but faded and sad. Good buzz to the place, and good service. Food isn't bland, but it completely lacks anything special - which you're entitled to expect at this price point. Consequently I'd say it is significantly over priced. Not recommended

From when we arrived, we experienced dismissive, ageist rude service and very unwelcoming attitude. We were seated at a very small table for 3 people, we requested a larger , more comfortable table to accommodate a shoulder injury, only to be offered a larger chair. None of our choices on the wine list were available, no advice or help was offered, just a very nice waiter, emphasising it was his first week. We eventually got our starters, mackerel very over cooked, and over an hour after ordering, our mains. Plates were reminiscent of school dinners, mash, kale, shallots, jus, sauce, beef all piled high on a small, cold plate, certainly not 'clean food'. Cod, again, was overcooked and over salted. Desserts were a mishmash of commercial products, a cold doughnut and ile flottante with caramelised glaze? We paid an exorbitant bill, left without any thanks on behalf of management, feeling very disappointed. The restaurant was not busy, plenty of staff, but attitude was appalling. We left very disappointed.

We were there as a couple for lunch. We made our booking by telephone, which was an easy process. Staff greeted us on arrival, offered us a choice of tables and provided us a seat at the bar while they prepare our table of choice. The lunch menu has a nice selection of items available. We opted for the two course e set for 34.00 euro. Our waitress for the afternoon was friendly and attentive, discussing the menu and assisting us with our choices and without being intrusive, attended our table to top-up our wine and check if we had everything we needed. We were provided with some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar while we settled in and waited for our starters to arrive. Our starters were; Goats Chees, Jerusalem artichoke, Roscoff Onion, Pear, Pickled Walnut and the Glazed Beef Short Rib, Parmesan Agnolotti. We were delighted the presentation and flavours of both. Our mains were Glazed Venison Shoulder, Celeriac and Honey, Oyster Mushroom, Blackberry, Thyme and the Chargrilled Striploin of Aged Grass Fed Beef, Charred Broccoli ‘Caesar, Chips. We felt like we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal. The surroundings are pleasant, we were able to relax and felt comfortable. There is a good wine menu and a variety of cocktails or beers are also available. We enjoyed our visit expect we will return.

Fabulous team night out. The sense of welcome when we arrived, the great choices on our set menu and the waiter who was very understanding of my dietary requirements and in consultation with the Chefs. Truly delicious food from the Asparagus starter to the Salmon. Everyone loved their food and the service was perfect. Thanks for a great night.

-Portion sizes were too exiguous and absolutely overpriced in proportion. I felt some sort of embarassment both when looking at the menu and after being served. -Excessive wait for the main course. Taste was good and as expected. -I didn't feel at ease seating beside a curtain. To summarize the experience, my partner and I, we were disappointed and the experience was meaningless.
