I accompanied colleagues on a work night out & we were given a large table pretty much on our own upstairs which was great. The French waitress was very accommodating & pleasant. The food & wine were delicious. I had scallops to start & a type of fish stew for main. So rich & so tasty. The other dishes looked... More

On a very busy Saturday night in Dublin, my friend and I were lucky to get a table at La Maison. I've been a few times and have never left disappointed. I had oysters and cod with a bean and chorizo cassoulet - really excellent. We also had a bottle of well-priced and delicious Picpoul. What really makes this place... More

I was given a voucher for La Maison as a gift and myself and my Fiancee went for a meal recently. We were expecting fine dining and very special french cuisine. The staff were very friendly and nice to deal with, although when we got to our table, my Fiancee's cutlery was missing and when the waiter came with fresh... More

We have eaten here many times. Last night was very disappointing. We opted for the early bird. The fish croquette was dry and spongy with enough greens added to feed the restaurant. There was also a bone in it. I had hake for main course. Completely tasteless as were the green and white purée/froths. There was a bed of leeks... More

I had 2 starters instead of a main as we were eating late. The goats cheese is whipped but it did not state that on the menu which was disappointing as I expected the cheese to be au naturel. Pate was lovely but I was unimpressed by the dessert tray which was all cold pastries. Lovely staff but the restaurant... More

La Maison represents this type of corner bistro which tends to disappear in the large French cities. It was good to spend a valuable time in this restaurant. Anything on the menu is really traditional and tempting... but you have to make a choice. I went for the pâté assortment... huge...divine and excellent bread. The Veal Blanquette was also excellent... More

Had a superb meal here last week. M Our 4th person couldn't make it in the end but no hassle from the restaurant. Limited menu with consistent high quality. I had the onion soup to start which was superb. Steak for main coiked properly rare. Nice touch with the chocolate This won't be my last trip.

We chose to have dinner at La Maison for a special meal during our trip to Dublin. We chose La Maison based on reviews, location and what looked like a delicious menu. I cannot praise this restaurant highly enough, It was simply perfect! The food was outstanding from start to finish, especially the special of the night: oysters! They served... More

The atmosphere in this cosy bistro is absolutely French. The dishes are fresh and uncomplicated, and the service is swift and friendly. The limited wine list provides ample options for pairing with the food. The value is exceptional.

La Maison is one of the best I’ve eaten in in Dublin. Cosy, with a very classy French vibe. Everything was delicious. There were a couple of little touches, like complimentary home made truffles to finish that made it a cut above. Beautiful art installation suspended from the ceiling also. A MUST VISIT.

Description
La Maison is the latest venture of Breton chef Olivier Quenet. In April 2009 he transformed his French cafe and boulangerie, La Maison des Gourmets, into a simple yet chic restaurant where he aims to continue his dedication to Irish people eating affordable freshly prepared produce. The menu is a well thought out selection of French dishes; huitre (fresh oysters), plateau de pates du jour, poele de la mer, tarte provencal and cote de boeuf to name but a few of the wonderful choices on offer. Upon arrival diners will be welcomed by the Maitre d'hotel,His high expectations ensure that the service is impeccable with sparkling glassware, starched linen napkins yet all the while remaining relaxed and friendly. The authenticity of La Maison begins with the artwork, works by Leonetto Cappiello, L'oir Dor, and Diable Vent, all sourced from the Paris at Puces market.
