It's a lovely, cosy place with lots of nooks to find a place to sit. Ordered off the bar menu and even the light bites (I had chicken tenders) were good size portions and nice quality. Good & friendly service. Nice to see a staff member giving an older man on his own some help. Adjacent to the Mulberry Restaurant... More

Nice pub, quiet and cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Tap selection is just the usual, would like to see more craft beers served on tap. Some live music would definitely live up the place.

It's very spread out with lots of hidden areas and alcoves so you'll find somewhere you like no matter if you are here for a quiet pint or watching big screen football. The carvary is super and the portions would feed a builder!! Nice n' big. The bar staff are experienced and seem to be very professional. Some bars pay... More

I work in Gowan Motors so the Half Way House at the Ashtown Roundabout is handy at lunchtime. They have a carvery with hot food and a sandwich bar. The quality is good and the staff are great. They have a restaurant but I think it only open evenings and weekends. They do great business and it's a lovely building... More

€8 for 2 baby bowls.... ridiculous !! Other well know establishments don't charge for baby bowls red cow, lawyers etc... most I've ever paid €1,50. Not very attractive to family's with young children.

On the recommendation of our hotel reception staff we walked down to this location for a late breakfast. Not sure what time they start breakfast but it's served until 11.30am. The food was great, hot and plenty of it!

The Halfway House always holds a warm welcome for its customers. The staff are most friendly and service is swift. Interestingly most of the senior staff have been there for as long as I can remember, this reflects well on the establishment and ownership and indeed the staff themselves. Bar food is good and wholesome with generous portions. Drinks are... More

Popped in for the obligatory Guinness on the recommendation of the receptionist at my hotel. So impressed I returned the following evening for a meal. Beautiful and comfortable bars. One has the traditional high seating and the "Public" has several sports screens. We ate in the snug, which was very comfortable. Staff were great, smiling and attentive without being intrusive....
