We had planned on visiting a few pubs in central Cork that offered traditional Irish music. The first one we went to was the Corner House and arrived at just after 7pm. The place was quiet but nevertheless all the seat/tables were occupied. The staff...were pleasant and the choice of drinks suited us just fine - but it lacked the very reason we had visited....music! So, we headed off to the next on our list.More
It’s next door to a legendary pub, but I liked this place better. Rather than being packed and claustrophobic, The Corner House is quiet and intimate. The fire in the corner was a lovely touch, and the staff was nothing but nice
We had such an amazing experience at this pub! It is warm and cozy and filled with locals. Listening to traditional Irish music was fantastic! This was something I had always wanted to experience, and I was definitely not disappointed. We were there on a...Thursday at 6:30 and thoroughly enjoyed our time. If you are visiting Cork, then you must stop by here!More
I was never in here before despite living in Cork for most of my life. It’s surprisingly big and full of memorabilia so definitely worth a visit.
Very impressed I must say and looking forward to another visit again!
