Excellent food, friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. Great place to stop for a cup of tea and sandwich after exploring the market below.

Each year my parents visit, we complete our Christmas shopping and have lunch here. (I also pop in now and then inbetween this annual visit with friends). On this occasion I ordered my normal of a goats cheese salad to which the lady behind the counter said 'we haven't had that for over 2 years'. When I replied I had... More

Situated above English Market the restaurant offers breakfast and lunch menus together with tea coffee and cakes. The restaurant is always busy and choice a little limited. Nice place to take the weight off your feet, have coffee and a cake on the balcony, and watch the bustle of the market below. If you are after a meal, unless you... More

Been here a few times and it's consistent in how great the food remains. Fish dishes are their forte. Located in Middleton which might be a bit of a venture from Cork City but it's worth the trip. Well done to all.

I went to Farmgate for lunch on a visit to the city of Rory Gallagher. Well, the great musician and composer would surely be proud of this place! It was a real treat for lunch. The chowder was really tasty and nicely presented. On top of that; charming staff; lovely fresh bread (crusty the way i like it); and great coffee.... More

I've been here for lunch with my mother who visited us in Ireland. The quality of food has dropped since tge last time I've came. Their seafood chowder was very watery. Won't be back unfortunately.

I visited here with my Mum and Aunt after a few years away. Oh what a delight to return! We had lunch in the cafe rather than the restaurant section. The Egg sandwiches were so divine! Fresh tasty bread and creamy flavoursome egg mayo with lettuce. I know some may say, "it's only egg mayo!" However there are egg sarnies... More

This is a must if you come to the English Market. After spending a few hours exploring Cork and the English Market, we decided to have lunch here. The food was great, the service was better and we will definitely be coming back here.

This is a great place to relax in the view overlooking the market with its great selection of salad the service was quick and efficient. The staff all looked happy in their work environment and they were very busy and could cope the ever streaming of people that came into the cafe. You may find the short flight of steps... More
