Really good menu, the valentines menu was a bargain £25 for 3 courses. Excellent home cooked food and nice relaxing surroundings.

We had a lovely meal here on Valentine's weekend. The starters were amazing- we went for the scotch egg and the Brie wedges and they were fantastic. We also had the steak pie and lamb curry which were very good. We were too full for a dessert but they looked nice! Worth a visit!

We had booked a table but were early. It was no bother and we were offered a choice of tables by a lovely fire. The specials were brought to our attention and we ordered a couple fishy specials and a couple of dishes from the menu. Everything was delicious especially the fishcakes and the burger - yummy! The waitress who... More

By far my favourite restaurant in Pitlochry. We have close family friends in the town and continue to visit regularly, which every visit consists of a trip to the Auld Smiddy Inn. Staff very friendly and always make you feel welcome. Food is spectacular, never a complaint, fast service and always cooked to perfection. I will continue to visit!

Eat here regularly as a member of a club, numbering 10/14pax each occasion. The staff are always most welcoming offering a good easy style of service. Chef always pulls the stops out and delivers dishes chosen from an a la carte menu which is o mean feat.

we come to pitlochry at least twice per year and have always found the food here to be good. Ate here on new years eve and it was just lovely. typical scottish pub with specials. No airs and graces and fancy five course dinners but i had the best pasta dish i have had in ages. The venison also was... More

We have visited the Auld Smiddy Inn on a number of occasions over the last few years, and once again it didn't fail to meet its normal high standards. Good wholesome pub grub and good real ale to go with it. Can't fail. Will be back again next time we are in Pitlochry.

We were very excited to go to a pub which was once a blacksmith shop. Gorgeous on the outside and very inviting. However it was rotten inside. The woman behind the bar did not want us there and was very cold and negative about all of our inquiries. We were hoping to have lunch but decided we felt unwanted and... More
