Went to the Ship on a recommendation from a friend. I found the food to be average. I had fish and chips with mushy peas. The meal was poorly presented. The batter on the fish was soggy and greasy. The staff were very pleasant and could not fault the service. Will not return.

The oldest pub and eatery in Irvine. Established by the late Ian Murray and now run by his two sons. I have had many meals here and always first class and reasonably priced.

I have known the Ship Inn for many years now. It has evolved from a good pub to an excellent pub. I love the fact they have a separate gluten free menu as one of our party is coeliac. This was a cold wet February Saturday lunch time in Scotland. The Pub was warm and welcoming. Table was roomy by... More

This was our first visit here for a while as we had heard there had been changes and that's not always a good thing . There was no need to worry though as we had a fantastic lunch which was just as good if not better than before. I had a veggie pie which was the best I've ever had.... More

Went for dinner, 2 adults 1 child. Could have taken the dog as they have a pet area in the restaurant. Been many times before and can't fault food or service. It was Thursday night and they do 2 for 1 burgers so that's what we had. Daughter had Mac n cheese n loved it. Lovely wee pub, would definitely... More
