A welcome sight after a nice walk through the forest, fantastic service and food, in a lovely setting, very busy on the day we had lunch, we would visit again if in the area.

Loved this cafe. When we came in it was a 45min waiting list so got a coffee take away and went for a walk on lake nearby recommended by lady who made our coffee. When we came back there was still a bit of waiting but we decided to stay and wait for a table. It was so worth it!... More

Previously listed as Ord Ban (no longer trading under that name). Warm and welcoming atmosphere in historic old school hose from 1875. Great coffee and cakes!

We ate here two days, cold and hungry after wildlife photography sessions. Warmed by the coal fire and with a great plate of soup and a tasty sandwich inside use we were ready for action again. I can recommend the Cullen Skink and the beef baguette.

Very good food. Always freshly prepared. We always go there when in Aviemore. Reckon it's the best coffee and bakes in the area.

The Druie is found within the Rothiemurchus Centre. A lovely restaurant to enjoy a sandwich, sub, soup (home made), or a delicious cake. Also other dishes. We wanted to visit Aviemore to hopefully see the reindeers but the day before we were advised that we needed all-weather gear as the weather was not good. This day wasn't too bad so... More

We have stopped off here many times and have always left happy. Good honest food, lovely baking and lovely staff. Not a big menu, but good soup, local bangers and mash with onion gravy, Cullen Skink. You really can't go wrong!

Our Scottish chum's fave café is closed on Mondays, so she suggested we try the Druie Café. What a find! It transpires that the owners roast & mill & blend their own coffees. Mine was the best I had during my four-day visit to the Scottish Highlands: rich, smooth, tasty and satisfying. Their cakes were also a find with each... More

Visit Aviemore regularly and always visit the mountain cafe..... it was closed today so decided to give the druie a try! Very busy little place but the table turnover was really fast, we only waited 5-10 minutes for a table, completely acceptable at lunch time! It is a very cosy little place, warm, with candles, great atmosphere! I chose the... More

The Druie takes its name from the burn(river) that rushes behind the restaurant and always seems in a hurry to carry clear, sparkling mountain water from the Cairngorms to the River Spey. We are open daily 9.30am - 5.00pm for locally roasted coffee, locally sourced tasty lunches, leaf teas and delicious homemade cakes, with a focus on dishes prepared from lovingly home produced beef from our pedigree herd of Highland cattle, our velvety venison from the ancient forest of Rothiemurchus and seasonal produce from specialist producers, served in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whilst enjoying your coffee or lunch at the Druie, you can enjoy the exhibition of local artwork which changes each month, especially selected by Ellie, who manages the Gallery at Loch an Eilein and is also a member of Creative Cairngorms.
