We love the Mountain Cafe and made Aviemore our destination today for a day out with the aim of having a delicious meal during the day: a 240mile round trip. We arrived at 3.15 and weren't too annoyed at being given a buzzer to summon...More

Being someone who enjoys nice coffee, I was certainly not disappointed. This is a very busy Cafe and we were determined to get in today. We enjoyed a Ginger & Dark chocolate scone served with fresh homemade jam and cream. My daughter had the brownie...More

Beautiful setting and lovely food. Slightly expensive but Aviemore in general is slightly more expensive for food. Breakfast was lovely. A very popular spot and you are likely to have to wait for a table. Overall excellent.

We had breakfast at the Mountain Cafe this morning and it was amazing! Lots of great choices and the food is instagram worthy. The lattes were also great. Just a note that it doesn't open until 8:30am so we had to wait a bit outside...More

We had made two previous attempts to eat at Mountain Cafe during our week in Aviemore, but each time the wait for a table was LONG. This time with only 2 tables ahead of us in the queue, we decided to wait. The cafe is...More

WOW! We'd been put on to this place by friends who we were staying with and had been warned about the likelihood of a long queue, but told it was worth it. Was it? Oh YES! On the first floor above one of many outdoor...More

If you like cake this is the place to go! And the rest of the menu is just as good. A bit expensive but it's possible to eat there and not break the bank.

we nipped in for elevenses and were not disappointed. The piece of banana chocolate cake that my husband got could have fed a small family. My cream tea was divine with a healthy amount of clotted cream ( no squirty cream here). We did not...More

We (7 adult family members) called in for breakfast and enjoyed the choice and quality of the food. The views were lovely too.

I've been following the cafe on face book and my birthday treat (from Bristol) was supposed to be afternoon tea here. We called in on Friday for coffee and cake (MASSIVE pieces), had breakfast on Sunday (I should have had the child'd portion) and then...More

We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?
