We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed whether it's breakfast , lunch or coffee tea and cake! Best of all though is that though I live 600 miles away I can eat here most days as the recipes from the book such...More

The cafe was fantastic when we visited in 2016, we visited most days over a week holiday to Aviemore. So we returned with fond memories. They have now removed the queue on the stairway system which was good. HOWEVER, this has now been replaced with...More

Catering up in the mountains has come a long way from previous burnt offerings and I was pleasantly surprised at how pleasant and attractive the Mountain Cafe development now is and with a ice menu. However, tasteless soup , a dryish roll and a roast...More

Called in for breakfast before a big day out to conquer Ben Macdui. The food was so delicious and filling we hardly needed the packed lunch we took with us. I had gorgeous porridge with spiced fruit and pecans. The boys had huge pancakes with...More

Despite the shortened menu this summer and having to wait for a table. It absolutely met all expectations. Best coffee I have had since we arrived in the U.K. My black pudding pork and apple scotch egg on red cabbage coleslaw was delicious and my...More

This place is suffering from its great ratings here, and there is clearly too much demand during the busy peak tourist season. That said, it is good, even with the limited menu that are currently offering (the owner is helping her husband get through cancer...More

Waited over an hour before being able to come inside, and once inside, waited for half an hour for our orders (which turned out to be wrong) . Food was nothing special, normal pub quality... Definitely not worth the hour of waiting!!

Had a day trip up the funicular railway. Treated ourselves to a cuppa and cakes. Lovely views and the cakes were delicious

We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?
