Visited with family. Had great expectations of having a lovely lunch with lovely views..........didn't happen unfortunately. Food was pretty hum-drum. Similar to canteen style. We ended up opting for the soup and sharing sandwiches. Large queues which took an age to move......wasn't cheap either. The...More

Great views from top of Cairngorms. Food was good, but no special food for children, only small portions of what is on the menu. Sandwich fillings not really suitable for children and packs too big for children. Quite surprised as there are a lot of...More

Clearly "tourist' prices for the food. So gave the main courses a miss. Staff nice enough. Did go for the Chocolate mountain £4 and an empire biscuit. Was actually a very good biscuit and the OTT chocolate drink was just what I needed. Daughter and...More

Visited today. It's quite expensive so fine for a cuppa but wouldn't have a lunch here. It's more of a cafe than a restaurant but does the job.

The view from the restaurant is spectacular; the food significantly less so. We ordered some soups and a meal of sausages with fries and peas, for adults and kids. Even the kids barely managed to get the sausages down, and the quality of the side...More

This is only a self-service cafe with a very limited menu. Whilst the views are spectacular the food is mediocre. Baked potato at £4.50 plus &1.20 per filling, 2 bowls of soup and roll for £9. Very overrated.

Went up on the funicular railway. I would say this is a cafe rather than a restaurant. Not too busy when we visited and we were lucky enough to sit in a comfy leather settee looking out of a large picture window onto the amazing...More

The café gets lots of traffic from skiers, walkers and tourists who take the funicular but it's a bit shabby even so. I had a coffee in a cup that was heavily stained, the tables had not been wiped down properly and the floor was...More

Hot spiced mulled wine & hot chocolate with marshmallows and skooshy cream. The restaurant was very busy around 12pm with skiers coming in for a heat and warm food. Tables are at a premium and geared more towards a quick dining experience for the skiers...More
