Had a delicious breakfast here on Sunday. Not too busy so service was attentive but not pushy. Delicious fresh orange juice and freshly prepped food. Great range of options and lovely decor. Would certainly eat here again!

We booked via the website - a nice simple process. Definitely recommended as the cafe is doing a roaring trade on a Saturday morning. The menu warns of anything up to 30mins for service as food is freshly prepared to order and this turned out to be the case. Opting for the full Scottish breakfast it was worth the wait... More

The Tim Stead furniture sets the scene and the food and service does not disappoint. This long established restaurant is a must visit and although little has changed the standards and quality remain amongst the best in Glasgow. If you can only manage breakfast or lunch it would be my number one choice in the city centre and equally it... More

Went for breakfast - Avocado with seeds on sourdough bread with poached eggs and the sweetest cherry tomatoes I've had for ages - bit different and very tasty. Quality coffee too. Large rustic wooden tables and chairs. Good service.

We called in here for breakfast whilst stopping in a nearby premier Inn. The place was packed which spoke for itself. A full Scottish breakfast was the order of the day but with plenty of continental options available too. We liked it so much we returned the following day.

an outstanding restuarant with amazing staff who can talk knowledgeably about the food, the wine, the cocktails and anything else you may wish to ask! we were a party of 37 (no mean feat at lunch!) and had an assortment of fish dishes, veggie meals and good solid Scottish fare - always with a little twist (highly recommend the Haggis,... "Deagh bhiadh, deagh bheannachd" Well fed, well blessed. It's this sense of Hebridean hospitality that makes Café Gandolfi such an incredible long standing institution in the Glasgow scene. Opened in 1979, and pioneering the Merchant City into becoming the hub of bars and restaurants that it is today, Gandolfi is a truly well loved and frequented corner of Glasgow. From the main café with its iconic Tim Stead furniture downstairs, the hidden treasure bar up in the attic boasting gorgeous cocktails and atmosphere, to the glamorously sleek Gandolfi Fish two doors up with its adjoining little sibling Fish To Go, this little section of the Merchant City looks set to continue keeping the bar toweringly high when it comes to all things good food, good wine and great hospitality.
