I have been going here for many years, in fact since I went as child and thought the cappuccino my parent had was the largest cup I’d ever seen. The decor and staff are welcoming and the food is outstanding; breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner...More

Went here because we were looking to show a family an authentic Scottish breakfast. I didn't have one myself but I had eggs benedicts and they were delicious. The Scottish breakfast looked good and the service was great and friendly.

We visited here on a weekday lunchtime. It was easy to find and is located in the fashionable Merchant City area of the city. Only a 10 minute walk from Queen Street station. It is a friendly bistro serving well prepared Scottish and continental food....More

Hard to review a place when you have been going to a place for 37 years. Not even on or off, just whenever you want a coffee or a special occasion. Great service and always welcoming. Food is great: based around classics and then some...More

Had dinner at Cafe Gandolfi on a Saturday night. Great food, especially the Arbroath Smokie which was recommended by the waitress. Service good - staff happy to let us sit for as long as we liked and fine about us moving table. Would love to...More

A Scottish Commodities gentleman asked us if we were lost "No just looking for somewhere to eat". He then walked us to Cafe Gandolfi's as some streets were closed for a film shoot and it got a bit difficult to direct us. What luck a...More

Visited this restaurant on 31st Oct. Pre-booked too. Although place was fairly empty we got stuffed on a table for two, relevent only because many couples following us in were given a table which could take 4. However, it would seem they were regulars. I...More

This place was recommend as restaurant with the best haggis in the city. Food (including the black pudding) was delicious and the staff just excellent. I’ll be back for sure. 😁

There is a reason this place has been going nearly 40 years. Traditional and tasty Scottish classics served by friendly people in a welcoming and homely environment. I had the Cullen skink followed by the linguine with prawns, brown shrimps and cherry tomatoes. All of...More

Description
"Deagh bhiadh, deagh bheannachd" Well fed, well blessed. It's this sense of Hebridean hospitality that makes Café Gandolfi such an incredible long standing institution in the Glasgow scene. Opened in 1979, and pioneering the Merchant City into becoming the hub of bars and restaurants that it is today, Gandolfi is a truly well loved and frequented corner of Glasgow. From the main café with its iconic Tim Stead furniture downstairs, the hidden treasure bar up in the attic boasting gorgeous cocktails and atmosphere, to the glamorously sleek Gandolfi Fish two doors up with its adjoining little sibling Fish To Go, this little section of the Merchant City looks set to continue keeping the bar toweringly high when it comes to all things good food, good wine and great hospitality.
