I hope that no credit cards does not mean the place is in trouble as it is a nice pub with atmosphere also good food and beer. Please try and use it as it deserves to remain in business.

Better known as a bikers pub, the lack of wifi signal may be the reason why this is cash only. Also don't like the policy of paying before the meal however that said the meal was nice although a bit overpriced.

Visited for lunch with my husband and dog. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. Perhaps some of the people leaving reviews complaining about unfriendly staff were just having a bad day and giving off unfriendly vibes themselves. This was our second visit and part of the reason we returned was the helpful staff. The other reason was being able... More

I have known this place for years, best thing is that after your long walk or drive you can stop here for some pub food and have your dogs sitting right next to you! It is a typical pub with pub drinks and food, nothing out of the ordinary and don't worry it does also now take card payments.

After an 11 mile/4hour walk over the hills from Old Kilpatrick, I was really looking forward to a nice lunch and a couple of pints. Think again! There was a handwritten sign on the door saying no cards accepted. Since I carry the bare minimum.in cash on my hikes, I only had enough for a coffee. And that was as... More

Hi I'm really sorry that you had such a walk to discover we don't accept card payments anymore. We have no other way of displaying that we only accept cash other than a sign on the door and our Facebook page. It was myself that served you and apologised three times. More

This Restaurant has got to be the worst i have ever been in...The staff are threatening the food is bad and it feels like a bit of a gangster bar....The staff don't crack a smile and you feel like you are the enemy when you walk in...

Had lunch here today during a walk up part of The West Highland Way. The weather was beautiful which meant we could have lunch outside. Food was excellent and the beer was nice and cool. The inn is about two hundred years old and is very atmospheric. It is family run and the staff are so friendly and keen to... More

Great atmosphere and good pub grub with nice surroundings. Will be back in the winter to get the full benefits of the cosy wood burning stoves
