Fantastic interior and friendly staff, certainly stands out as a place to visit for a drink, although not as cheap as some of the pubs around it. Worth a trip all the same.

Visiting friends we decided to stay for a couple of hours. Nice beer and nice food. Bit confusing to navigate around but quirky. Had a great time and surprised by live music later in the evening that made the night.
Hello, Thanks for the review. The layout is often a talking point....going to the loo is an adventure!! Glad you stayed with us for a while - we have live music Thursday-Sunday. Make sure you come back to visit us again soon. Cheers, Claire D
I have to admit, when my friend said she wanted to take me to Waxy’s, my inner snob turned her nose up. Last time I was in a Waxy’s, it was over 15 years ago, in London, and it was a good place to go...More

A bit pricey but nice and cosy to sit and have a few drinks after some shopping. Pleasent decor and friendly staff.
Hi Beth, Thanks for taking time to leave your review. Plenty of space to rest your legs after Christmas shopping - hopefully we will see you again soon for a cheeky glass of mulled wine! Cheers! Claire D
Wow, what a fantastic interior of this centrally located pub. It is worth coming in just to have a quick look around and a beer as it is decorated with the most lavishly crafted woodwork I think I have ever seen in a pub! It...More

We were parking our bikes, when a bouncer told us we couldn't because it was 'private property' A shocker, and the sort of thing you'd say to a trespasser and never to a customer. Can't use it.More

Dropped in for a lunch time meal. I really wanted a good steak pie. It was quiet enough when I went in. The young man behind the bar was pleasant and took my order. I only waited about 10 minutes when my lunch appeared. The...More

Stopped here for a pint before getting a train home at the end of a great cycle round Glasgow. As soon as we got off our bikes the manager bustled out and officiously told us we could not leave our bikes outside the bar. It...More
