Well worth a visit to this authentic Chinese restaurant. Great variety of food and always fresh. BYOB which is a bonus

You can't get a better place for Sichuan food, arguably all Chinese food, in Scotland. Excellent place with attentive, friendly staff and great prices.

Left the choices to staff and were knocked out by the quality and superb flavours. The variety of dishes and their flavours was exceptional.

Since seeing a glowing report in the Herald a few years back, I have been curiously remiss in paying a visit here. With extended family over, I popped in to get a take away. The restaurant is certainly not glitzy, but is functional and not unlike many of the restaurants I have visited in the far East. The menu is... More

Long day at work and looking for a reasonably priced mid week meal out. Went here because of the reviews on trip adviser. It was fabulous. Great food and great service. Great price too. Beware though... portions huge.

Full of Chinese guests (always a sign of authenticity), friendly beyond all expectations, perfect service and food to talk about for days. If it's not on the menu, the chef will have a go anyway. Our salt and chili tofu starter (not on the menu) was nicely balanced and full of flavour. The stuffed aubergine and Chinese style kung po... More

Initial impressions of the surrounding area left a lot to be desired. Once seated however, the place has a personal atmosphere without infringing adversely on personal space, the food was impeccably prepared and presented, service was attentive, and we were all very impressed with the diversity of the menu. The birthday style bringing of cake was also handled appropriately with... More

We ordered two shares of fried rice. It was basically just dark seasoned plain rice in a bamboo pot. The fried prawn with salted egg yolk is unpeeled with prawn shelf, it is oily. The mapu tofu was fine. Overall food portion is big for two person to share but taste and price doesn't match the quality.

Been a regular for a while so thought I'd chip in my 2 cents. Always fantastic service with great staff, never had a bad meal. Have to say my favorite is the mongolian beef but I'm always trying new things on their huge menu. 5stars

Asian Gourmet provide excellent quality Chinese dishes to suite all tastes - I and my husband have eaten there on many occasions and have had some wonderful dishes. The staff are very attentive and very helpful - the cost of a meal in the Asian Gourmet is about half the cost of meals we have had in similar restaurants -... More
