Recently called in, en route to the station, back to Manchester, personally I wasn't very hungry, and for some reason just fancied scrambled eggs on toast, this wasn't on the menu, but they offered to do it for me anyway! There was a lovely chatty guy behind the bar, called John, an absolute credit to your business, would definitely come... More

Formerly known as the goose this place has not lost it's friendly and pleasant atmosphere. As one of Glasgow's busiest pubs it's refreshing to find very capable and efficient bar staff on hand. If you are ever in Glasgow this is one place to make a point of visiting for a few refreshments.

Their website and google said this place opens at 9, didn't open until 10. If we were starving would have gone somewhere else. Breakfast was good, great price. My partner said the unlimited coffee for £1 was average, but couldn't expect more for £1! Will be back to try and burger and drink later during our stay.

Hi JLRPWA, Thanks for pointing out the opening times, we'll get on it right away! (Although we hope to be opening again at 9am very soon). Sorry about the filter coffee, we do cappuccino etc but it is a little more expensive - really glad you enjoyed your breakfast though and look forward to seeing you again during your stay... More

We were "forced" into this pub due to road works that completely blocked their entrance. What a find! Had a great breakfast for under £5 with free flow of coffee! Didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day till 8:30pm! Will be back for dinner while we are here and definitely be drinking too!

After a cramped crowded cellar watching the Russian Circles perform I needed somewhere in central Glasgow to sit and have a dink - this place was clean and fairly quiet with good prices at 2230 - what I needed. Some pubs just too crowded late on in the centre but this was fine and relaxed well before setting off on... More

We visit the Royal Scot regularly and have always had excellent food in a friendly atmosphere. Recently though, a number of changes seem to have taken place which have sadly had an effect on food and service. Don't recognise any of the staff anymore and the food is not up to its previous high standard, being overcooked and dry. Not... More

Had a great time yesterday drinking some beers and eating fingerfood. However, today we went for a lunch and some beers. We wrote the order down but still the order got messed up. They offered nothing to make it up to us and fully charged us. Long story short, I recommend this place for a beer and a bite. I... More
