This cafe used to be enjoyable to visit with good customer service and food and drinks. Not so now. On entering, the floor needed cleaning as wet and could have been dangerous. No wet floor yellow warning notices. The tables and chairs need to be replaced. Depending on your visit, the serving staff can be a bit non customer friendly.... More

This place has really went downhill and it's such a shame given how great it used to be and it's prime location. Came in the other day for some lunch and the place was a shambles. The first thing that greeted me after the dirty floors (yes it wasn't great weather but there were three staff members on and it... More

Great location, fine for coffee and cakes but food's not great and a bit expensive for what it is. Used to be much better... Shame really.

Good espresso - i was there on a Sunday - good selection of pastries - although the shop advertises fresh orange juice - only bottled juice on sale - otherwise a good opportuntiy to read the Sunday papers

Great for a quick coffee, staff were fine and coffee tasted good. It can get busy so finding a free table can be difficult at time but apart from that all good.

Love this place! Hot chocolate and carrot cake is always our order every time we are in. Staff are so friendly and cheery... sure we will be back soon!

Met some colleagues for coffee and cake during a catch up. Reasonably priced but place could do with a re-vamp

Its a nice cozy cafeteria and i went there for an official meetup around 4 in the evening but it was extensively crowded and noisy. So its a good place if you want to have some lunch/snacks/coffee but not the place for you if are looking for a quieter/calming experience.

If you find yourself in the West End of Glasgow then this coffee shop is hard to miss. Right on the junction of Byres Road and University Avenue, there's always a cool vibe here - which is worth a few extra pennies for your coffee, mint tea etc. They do light snacks and great croissants. It's open late too -... More

Tinderbox is famous in the westend for the popular kids. In fact many people I know have told me, it's the place to get a hot date and meet people. On a lovely day in Glasgow, there is nothing better, but to have a coffee outside and people watch.
