3rd visit to this wee place with my wife. We got some deal through 5pm and found it to be excellent value. I opted for the smoked haddock and asparagus risotto with a spicy sausage and pepperoni pizetta. 2 half portions that left me stuffed and totally impressed with the taste and quality of these dishes. Packed with flavour. This... More

My mum and I went for her birthday lunch and it was fantastic as usual. Food was delicious, the service was prompt and the atmosphere made the rest. We had an itison voucher which covered 4 dishes and a glass of house wine each. This was more than enough for two. The dishes were plentiful and larger than usual tapas... More

Very nice restaurant, with a good atmosphere. The range of food and sharing plates was great. My daughter and I enjoyed the whole experience of this very nice restaurant.

My husband and I have been here on numerous occasions but our 6 friends have never been. We were a bit nervous inviting them to enjoy our most favourite place in Glasgow. However from the antipasto to the coffee all we heard was mmmmm delicious amazing and OMG that tastes brilliant. Could not fault the service the food the wine.... More

The standard menu features smaller plates to share. They had a special Xmas menu available that just seemed to be a prix fixe. Regardless, we ordered 2 app like dishes - asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and spicy buratta. Both very good but the tomato sauce on the bratta was not spicy. Tasty? Yes! Spicy? No. The main dishes were 2... More

I am not sure if this place is associated with Amore because some of the waiting staff work both here and in Amore, that said, this place is not a patch on Amore. We were here on Friday after work and it was absolutely awful. It was really busy and the food took ages to come. When it did it... More

We visited the Italian Caffe on Saturday with friends before going to a concert. Firstly the staff were very welcoming and made us comfortable prior to going to the table. The menu was slightly confusing but once we got our head around the tapas type selections, we went for the Christmas menu which allowed for one starter and two "small"... More

Huge menu which is very well priced and coeliac friendly, with a good selection of vegetarian food. The food was really good, and the atmosphere is really nice too. Good for a prosecco lunch with the girls.

We went here on a Saturday night around 6 and it was pretty busy but they did find us a table. There was nothing wrong with the food as such I just didn't like the tapas formula for Italian food. We choose a good selection of items but they all came a random times which was a bit odd and... More

Have eaten at this Caffè numerous times over the past year and have never been disappointed. Enjoyed another lovely eating experience on Thursday with my husband. I love the food, setting and ambiance. I have always found the staff professional, knowledgeable and engaging. I am gradually working my way through the menu and love the tapa sized portions allowing me... More

Description
Glasgow's first enoteca, The Italian Caffe is situated right in the very centre of Merchant City, offering fine dining and fine wines in a sleek and contemporary atmosphere. Intended to be a bit of a home from home, The Italian Caffe may be modern and upmarket but it's nonetheless cosy and welcoming, a place to relax and unwind after a hard day in the office. Take your pick from comfortable deep green banquettes, window side seating or a perch at the bar and settle in for an evening of chilled indulgence courtesy of your choice from The Italian Caffe's fifty-odd excellent and carefully chosen wines, both Italian and international. And though those fantastic wines form the backbone of the enoteca approach don't think for a moment that food has been neglected.
