The food was really not good. It was not a proper curry. The staff was slow and spoke a very bad scottish (or what ever it was). A very poor experience I hope I will never have again.

Food was fine, prices reasonable, but the service was way over the top. We felt harassed - we were asked several times within 5 minutes to give in our order. Despite saying that we needed some time to peruse the menu, within 2 minutes a different waiter asked if we were ready to order. I felt as if we were... More

My family and friends and I are regulars at the Ashoka in Bearsden. The quality, flavour and value for money are consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and service is spot on. Nice decor and ambience too. We had the Fish Amritsari to start (soft white fish perfectly cooked in light batter) - not to be missed! For mains we... More

Good food..some interesting alternatives. Great for groups and families but also had lots of smaller tables in a mezzanine type lay-out so not crowded. Fast friendly service and 30% off on Tuesday and Wednesday...large Cider/special main and mushroom rice (all in good size portions - £18, I've paid more for a lot worse take aways

I drove through from Clydebank to get a takeaway from here after having heard good things. Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe our experience. We had mixed pakora which consisted of overcooked and tastleless pieces of vegetable and mushroom pakora mixed in with chicken pakora with uncooked pink pieces throughout. Mains were a lamb karahi bhuna which was bland and... More

We`ve been patrons of the Ashoka for years but, having moved away, hadn`t visited for many months. We booked for Hogmanay night and had a fabulous meal. No hiked up seasonal prices here, just consistently good food and service. Special recommendation goes to the Ashoka Malwa - fairly firey and absolutely stunning!

Three of us had a takeaway. Fish Pakora starters were ok, vegetable pakora very dry and tasteless, chicken pakora was dry. Nan bread was thin, dry and tasteless. Main dishes were far, far too hot and spicy. I ordered a creamy lamb jalfrezi, expecting this to be mild, since there was a spicy option. I had to leave most of... More
