July 2015. We walked over from the Hilton Hotel...under the freeway exchange, I would not recommend doing this after dark. Restaurant is located in a residential neighborhood, very unassuming. Our reservation was for 8pm. we were seated within 5 minutes. Drink orders were taken within 5 minutes of being seated. Tables have nice spacing so you are not in the... More

Eat here for lunch was absolutely excellent!! From starter to sweet. Four of us dinning 3 off the lunch time set menu. Smoked chicken with mixed leaf salad in a strawberry vinergeratte sauce. Mains pork medallions in sweet potatoe sauce with roasted potatoes and veg, mushroom risotto scallops and fish of the day. Sweets to die for!! Walnut tart with... More

Having enjoyed Two Fat Ladies City Centre very much, we decided to try this top-rated restaurant for our last night in Scotland, and were not disappointed. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and all the staff were atttentive and nice. My husband ordered a caesar salad with prawns and anchovies starter, but because I don't like shrimp I asked if they... More

Came with two lovely friends and enjoyed their company despite everything else. I found the waitresses utterly without any warmth or charm. This casts a shadow over any evening. Curtness for no obvious reason is puzzling. We sat in an excellent alcove but beyond that I can recommend nothing. Food was neither tasty, imaginative or delicious. Drink was disappointing. Bill... Loved this place for dinner. Cute and cozy with a unique atmosphere. Food was great (even the bread!) and service was terrific. Had a mocktail that was really good too, light and summery and refreshing.

I must admit I was a bit sceptical about the place because of the name but I was blown out of my mind in every aspect. The booking on the phone was speedy and courteous. They did not ask me a million questions! I got there in time after a lovely Glaswegian walk and the hostess showed us the way... More

Enjoyed Sunday lunch here on what was my first visit, and what a great find it was, one of those places you wish you knew about years ago. The restaurant has a great old Scottish feel to it, the service from all the staff was first class which helped make enjoying the great food even more enjoyable. Try the homemade... More

Visited restaurant in June with family for first time. Excellent place and probably now my favourite in city. Location slightly off the beaten track but gives it feel of a hidden gem. Service first class. Decor and atmosphere excellent. The food is also first class. Emphasis on Scottish produce. I had vegetarian platter which allowed you to have smaller portions... More

Arrived at Glasgow Central, walked along Waterloo St and over the pedestrian bridge above the M8 motorway and found Two Fat Ladies - quite obscure place as all housing round about and not much else. However, our dining experience was first class from start to finish. Staff were very welcoming, attentive and courteous and a very pleasant young waiter kitted out... More

I ate in The Buttery on the evening of Sunday 16th August, as a birthday celebration for a family member. We had booked a deal through ItIsOn. There were 8 people in the party. We each recieved a glass of Prosecco on arrival and then were escorted through to a private dining room. We enjoyed a three course meal with... More
