Fabulous food, and pleasant and efficient service. We had the salmon, duck and soup starters, for mains we had the venison which replaced the lamb, the pork and scallops and the monkfish and prawn skewer. All the food was excellent. We will return.

I took my mother and father for a meal. They were visiting from Devon. Everything about the meal was excellent. The wine was great value. The Sauvignon Blanc was full of flavour and the Malbec had a great body. The staff were all excellent. The...food was wonderful with the sole described by mother as out of this world. I had the pork and scallops and it was a wonderful mix of flavours. But particular credit goes to Mark who was very solicitous and well judged. He created a wonderful atmosphere for my parents. He recommended an Italian wine he liked and gave us all a small glass to taste. Everything was above and beyond and it was all great value. The surroundings are lovely. Thanks once again for a lovely evening. Bryan.More

Visited for a wedding anniversary meal with very good friends of ours, being a Glaswegian I had heard of the buttery and knew that it had a very good reputation it did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal from starter to dessert and a lovely...range of drinks. The staff were extremely good and gave just the right amount of contact.More

Oh my this little restaurant did not disappoint. The food and service were absolutely exquisite. The staff went out of their way to make you feel special allowing us cheekily to add a small Cullen Skink to our menu which was delicious as was the...rest of the good. Would recommend to anyone and also will definitely be going again next year when we return to Glasgow.More

We have just been to The Buttery and had a lovely meal. We went for the set menu which is good value for money and had plenty of gluten free options for my wife. I especially liked the home made ice-cream with the brandy basket.i...would definitely recommend the wine too. Will be backMore

Lovely traditional decor without being stuffy or uncomfortable. The food was delicious. I had the smoked goat’s cheese starter and the fillet of beef, done to perfection. My partner had smoked salmon followed by pork belly with scallops and haggis. Everything was delicious, and the...staff were attentive and friendly but not obtrusive. It is not cheap but I think it’s worth the money. The house wines are good and reasonably priced. We are looking forward to eating there again.More

Booked last minute for Lunch and was not dissapointed. My parents had travelled up from Bath and have eaten in some nice restaurants. They were very impressed with Two fat Ladies. The staff are excellent, attentive without being intrusive, polite and friendly. We had the...two course set lunch which was outstanding, all freshly cooked and presented well. The wine and coffee were also very good. I will definitely book again. This place is the benchmark for customer service and food.More

I’ve read many reviews about the area this restaurant is situated in. Yes it’s next an estate however please don’t let that distract you from the amazing food and service they give. You eat your meal inside not in the bloody estate! Honestly the best...meal I had in Glasgow all week and I would most definitely recommend this to others. The staff were amazing and so attentive! I really can not fault them. I’ve added photos of my food and as you can see it looks amazing and I can assure you it tasted great!More

There is a private dining area which looks like it seats around 12? The restaurant I believe have deals fir a glass of bubbly, two course lunch, coffee etc for around £30 per head? Worth giving them a call.
