Without a doubt the kindest and friendliest service around Glasgow. As someone who frequents restaurants and knows how Service can vary wildly, it is greatly appreciated to finally find somewhere that greets you with a genuine smile and helpfulness. Been a while since I had been to the cafe and decided to pop in for lunch. If you are after... More

If you are in the area you MUST stop in for some of their traditional Italian Ice Cream, some of the best I have ever tasted! The cafe itself is like a blast from the past, reminiscing of times gone by!

Really nice coffee and fruit scone. A great traditional café - so sad that it's under threat of closure. I love the decor - so much more atmospheric than some of the chains further up the road.

Every trip from France to Glasgow means a visit (or two) to this classic cafe. A lunch of pie and chips or a tub of their famous ice cream is a must. This time the sun was shining so we ate double nougats at the little pavement table. Real Scottish/Italian ice cream is their speciality also the great atmosphere inside... More

Iv been in and out of University café for years and sometimes the food is very good, other times its pretty poor. For cheap eats and a feel of times gone by, this is your place. For high quality, keep on walking. I have very good memories of the Lasagne from here, but I also have memories of buying an... More

It's an old fashioned ice cream shop in every way. Food is traditional homemade Italian fayre, spag bol, macaroni,... you get the picture. Ice cream, banana splits, knickerbocker glorys, sweeties by the quarter.... it's worth a visit.

Been a regular since 1980 -- great food in old fashioned setting -- the coffee is simply the best. Be it full breakfast, homemade soups or simply hot filled rolls there is always something for you -- and you must try the ice cream
